We are currently living in a time where the old-Left are now the centre-Right. That’s because more and more people are waking up to Woke. Whether it’s Bill Maher, James Lindsey, Peter Boghossian, Dave Rubin or more recently Joe Rogan. Clearly, old school lefties are increasingly recognising that the Left just ain’t what it used to be.
With over ten million views and counting (as well as over half a million ‘likes’) in approximately 24 hours, this is yet another sign of the disruptive new media age of long-form, uncensored journalism. As he did with Trump, Rogan spoke with Vance for over three hours.
What quickly became evident is how intelligent, articulate, likeable Vance can be. Mainstream media outlets, such as the once venerable New York Times, might have tried to caricature Vance as ‘creepy’, but five minutes into the interview, you realise that he’s definitely not.
The unifying thread to the entire conversation between Rogan and Vance is that the Left has shifted. The ideological goalposts have moved so far that what was once Left is now the centre-Right.
Here are 20 examples from the interview to prove this point. Make yourself a coffee and get comfortable.
The Trump Assassination Attempt. Old school lefties – regardless of their specific political alliances – would have revelled in exploring the details surrounding this tragic event. But not anymore.
Vance: I’ve read a fair amount about it, and it’s pretty bizarre. It’s bizarre they haven’t been able to get into his phone … they couldn’t access his encrypted messages or something, but they haven’t really gotten his communications yet.
Rogan: There was a lot of weird stuff to it. One of them is that where he lived was professionally scrubbed … they got there and there was no silverware … there’s nothing. There’s no DNA, no hard drives, no nothing!
Vance: How do you get that close? I’m a pretty good shot. I served in the Marine Corps for four years and an AR-15 from 140 yards away is a shot even without a scope … I’m a person of faith and I think it’s a genuine miracle that the guy didn’t kill him. But how did he get so close?
There’s a lot of really big questions … he was walking around the area with a rangefinder before the event and people were yelling and saying, ‘He’s got a gun. He’s on the roof!’
I think it was a BBC reporter – with an English accent – who did the report on the ground with the guy and he’s talking to this guy who saw Crooks get on the roof and he’s yelling at him, it’s an amazing clip, he’s yelling at police officers saying, ‘Hey this guy’s on the roof, go and get him!’ And nobody responded to it.
The whole thing is very fishy to me, and I hope that we win and that we can get to the bottom of it because I think somebody clearly screwed up … the excuse from that lady in the secret service is that they couldn’t put snipers on the roof because the roof was sloped. All of it is bananas. The whole thing is ridiculous. And it’s also a miracle Trump turns his head at the last second…
And then instantly that guy is dead, and they take a hold of his body he’s cremated ten days later. There’s no press conference. There’s no toxicology report. No one talks about it on the news.
At this point, Rogan and Vance are only a little over 20 minutes into their more than three-hour conversation. But they’ve already slaughtered one of the Left’s most sacred cows. Both men recognise why conspiracy theorists are identifying with the pronouns of ‘I-Told-You-So’.
Transgenderism as Atonement for White Privilege. The discussion then immediately enters into the realm of gender transitioning and how can a child have the intellectual development to make an informed decision about such an important and life-changing issue. As Rogan himself states:
Then the New York Times thing comes out where it shows that they had a whole study about these puberty blockers that showed that they do not help the children’s mental health. And that they probably have a lot of horrific side effects. And so they decided not to release it, which is crazy!
Yeah it’s crazy. But what’s even crazier is that your considered crazy for even rationally questioning the sanity of any of this. Just note Rogan’s subsequent exchange with Vance.
Vance: They decided not to publish, which shows you the corruption of science when we’re not publishing studies. That suggests the gender transition craziness has reached the boiling point … I mean, I have a four-year-old and a two-year-old, and every single day my four-year-old or two-year-old will come to me and say something that is batsh*t insane because they’re four and two.
Like my four-year-old will come and say, ‘Daddy I’m a dinosaur, right?’ Am I then going to take him to like the dinosaur transition clinic and put scales on them?
Rogan: I’m just going to say it, even though it sounds gross, but they want their kid to be a part of the LGBTQ thing because it looks like a flag of virtue that they can post in their front lawn, ‘Oh look, we have a queer child … you’re amazing!’
There’s a weird thing about it with some of these nutty parents … there has to be some reason why an enormous percentage of these Hollywood parents are trans. Like, how many celebrities have trans kids? It’s new. It’s not a thing that was going on just a few [years ago], it was rare in the past.
Vance: Right,it becomes a social signifier for a lot of parents and we have to be honest about that fact. If you look at where the gender craziness is the most common, it’s most common among upper-middle-class to lower-middle-class white progressives.
Now you could believe that there’s something genetic going on in the mind of a wealthy white progressive, or you could believe that this is a cultural trend that we should be questioning a lot more than we are right now.
Here’s one thing that I really worry about is think about the incentives. People are very good at rationalising things. If you are a middle-class or upper-middle-class white parent and the only thing that you care about is whether your child goes into Harvard or Yale – like obviously that pathway has become a lot harder for a lot of upper-middle-class kids – but the one way that those people can participate in the DEI bureaucracy in this country is to be trans.
Is there a dynamic that’s going on where if you become trans that is the way to reject your white privilege? That’s the social signifier, the only one that’s available in the hyper-Woke mindset, is if you become gender non-binary nonbinary.
Rogan: Non-binary is the best one because you don’t even have to do anything. You just say I’m non-binary and all of a sudden you’re a part of the group.
Vance: That’s right. Again I think it’s important to [understand that] most people are not saying, ‘Oh I’m white privileged, how do I become part of the privilege set?’ But it’s these weird ways in which these ideas creep into the mind to the mainstream and people are very good at rationalising these things.
This is all incredibly perceptive and is an explanation which goes a long to explaining why transgenderism has been so popular amongst the Hollywood leftist elite. For as illogical and harmful as it is, destroying one’s gender identity is the only way to atone for them to atone for their white guilt.
The Rise of Anti-Feminism. Both Rogan and Vance agree that transgenderism is a bridge too far, especially when it comes to women’s sports. Just think of the injustice that occurs when people are applying for college scholarships. And not only that, but also the inappropriateness of biological males changing in female change rooms. As Rogan himself argues:
Not only that, but they get to change with them in the locker rooms. That’s where it gets…
[There was this guy] in a swim meet with teenage girls and he’s changing in the same locker room as them. And then the problem with that is there’s a psychological condition called auto-gynephilia, where men are sexually aroused by the idea of dressing and behaving like a woman. But they’re heterosexual. Now, all of a sudden these people with this known psychiatric disorder are allowed to just identify as a woman and you’re a bigot if you don’t let them change in the women’s room.
It used to be a central platform of the left to defend – and even champion – women’s rights. But now though they are systematically destroying them and it’s those on the right who have the courage to call it out. The left has become the centre-Right.
The Cult of Woke. Vance drills down on the ideology behind the new leftism. Both men agree that it involves a religious worldview, but unlike Christianity, it has no place for forgiveness or redemption. As Vance explains:
Most people recognise that even if you violate some fundamental moral value I have, if you apologise and try to be a good person, we’re going to be forgiving. We want people to be able to live together.
There is this weird thing with the Woke stuff where … they’ll go and say, ‘Well, I’m really sorry!’ They’ll sort of prostrate themselves when they make an offensive joke or they do something they’re not supposed to do and they expect redemption. But no, no, no they don’t get forgiveness.
What they get is you need to do even more of what you’ve already done. It becomes this self-defeating self-flagellating cycle and I think that’s what’s destructive about this.
You can’t be friends with people if you think they’re only ever wrong. They can only ever wrong you. And if they apologise your response is not to say, ‘Oh okay, I accept your apology.’ If your response is to say, ‘No, I want you to apologise even more and even harder!’ That destroys human civilisation.
The new Left is something of its own anti-religious caliphate. There is no room for disagreement or dissent. Only cancellation and perpetual punishment for those who have transgressed. Unless of course you’re willing to purge your white guilt through sterilising yourself and/or your children.
The Politics of Big Pharma. Following on from the previous point, Vance believes that the human body is a temple. Why then would we welcome more and more pharmaceutical intervention? This criticism is all the more pertinent when one considers how the new woke secular religion seeks to pollute the human body with all kinds of chemicals and pollutants without any serious questioning as to what it might be doing. Instead, everyone is asked to suspend all critical judgment and just ‘trust the science’.
Rogan himself is an outspoken sceptic regarding all of this because he doesn’t want to see so many toxins in people’s food. Indeed, he argues that even being fit is now being considered as part of a right-wing ideology! And that is simply a bridge too far. As Vance states:
It’s interesting that the environmental movement in America, the only thing that it talks about is the carbon footprint, and it never talks about why do we have the highest rates of obesity in the world right now. Why is it that American kids spend less time outdoors in nature than they ever have in the history of our 250 years civilisation?
However one of the most explosive claims Vance made was about pharmaceutical companies giving royalties to native American tribes so they couldn’t get sued. Significantly, Rogan fact-checked Vance on the spot and discovered that it was indeed true as can be viewed here from a 2019 article in the Duke Law Journal.
Covid Vaccine Injury. Another provocative claim Vance makes is his own personal testimony regarding vaccine injury surrounding Covid. Once again, any journalist on the Left would have previously rubbed their hands with glee over such a story. But not anymore. This is 2024! As Vance explains:
I took the vax and I haven’t been boosted or anything, but the moment where I really started to get red-pilled on the whole vaccine thing was the sickest that I have been in the last 15 years by far was when I took the vaccine. You know, I’ve had Covid at this point five times. I was in bed for two days, my heart was racing. I was like, the fact that we’re not even allowed to talk about that…
Even though I had no serious injury, the fact that we’re not even allowed to talk about the fact that I was as sick as I’ve ever been for two days. And the worst Covid experience I had was like a sinus infection.
When Rogan responded by saying, ‘We’re talking about companies who have a long history of lying and then we’re giving them exemption from being responsible from the side-effects…’ Vance immediately pointed out that these pharmaceutical companies primarily donate money to the Democrats ‘by a significant margin’. All of a sudden the warning bells of right-wing extremism are really starting to sound sane.
The Green Machine. Then we come to the issue of the environment. Both Rogan and Vance have so much to say here that it’s difficult to know where to start. Perhaps it’s best to simply give a potted summary of the evidence:
Many of the Green Energy initiatives are clearly ruining the very environment they’re designed to protect.
Wind farms are a massive eyesore and are a dystopian blight on the landscape.
Wind turbines kill birds and are also thought to kill whales.
Wind turbines are also incredibly inefficient in producing power.
Nuclear power plants are much more efficient, safer, and ultimately better for the environment.
Global cooling is much more dangerous than global warming.
Nuclear is a great option, especially if you believe in climate alarmism and that the world is going to end in the next 40 years. Why not solve the problem by using nuclear energy now and figure out to deal with the waste while we’re at it?
Solar panels in particular are made in China which has the worst carbon footprint in the world.
A lot of scientists are questioning the narrative and even saying that more carbon is a good thing because it helps produce more trees which means that there’s more greenery than a hundred years ago.
I realise that all of this might be so triggering for many people that they are not even prepared to engage with the argument. Which is ironically, a kind of ‘inconvenient truth’, don’t you think?
Reducing the Population through Vaccines. Vance notes that there’s a ‘fundamentally anti-human element of the radical environmental movement in the United States of American’. This is a truth which Rogan himself is alarmed by because people have been vocal in saying that they can control population growth through the use of vaccines. As Rogan states:
If you read Robert F Kennedy’s Jr, and I encourage everyone to read Robert F Kennedy Junior’s book, The Real Anthony Fauci because it’s not just about this crisis that we went through with Covid, it’s about a host of different things that were done. One of them was a vaccine that was supposed to be a DPT vaccine that they were giving to girls in Africa but it was just birth control. It was just sterilising them … the reality is there was experiments done on unwitting unknowing African women where they gave them this thing that was supposed to be a vaccine against a disease but it was really sterilising them.
Again, where is the leftist moral outrage? Note the response from Vance:
I go back to some of the arguments of the Old Left. What kind of guardrails do you want these companies to have? Do you want the guard rails to be that if donate to the trans pride and BLM organisations you get to do whatever the hell you want?
Or do you want the guard rails to be that we’re going to protect health and public safety and make sure that you’re not like killing people under the auspice of helping them? That’s the kind of guard rails I want.
Old Left meet New Right. Because as Rogan and Vance go on to humorously discuss, even math is now a product of colonialism and therefore racist!
Hunter Biden’s Laptop. This is one of the most sensational news stories to have been suppressed this century. Without question, it would have changed the result of the previous US election. Again, Rogan himself says:
Rogan: The wildest thing about the laptop was that they were able to suppress it from social media. When I discussed that with Mark Zuckerberg and he openly admitted it, that the FBI had contacted him and told him that it was Russian disinformation … that was one of those things while he was saying it where I was like, ‘Yo! I was like, ‘This guy’s like just saying this!’
Vance: I remember when that episode came out because it like it reverberated across American politics. Like holy sh*t he just said the thing that we all suspected for a very long time.
Rogan: Yeah, and if it wasn’t for Elon purchasing Twitter and then finding out how much of an influence they were having on this and that they were in fact silencing something…
Pulling that off is really wild and the fact that there was no outrage from the left that the Left was like, ‘It’s fine because it’s our side and Trump is evil, and he’s Hitler. We got to get rid of him so let’s just lie about this laptop… ’
Yep, free speech and the suppression of a political scandal were legitimate with Donald Trump because he was a threat to democracy. Well, at least the version of democracy which progressives have deemed to be on the right – or should that be left? – side of history.
Poor Health and Political Progressives. Is there a legitimate link between being physically fit and politically conservative? This one might seem like a bit of a stretch, so let me just allow Rogan and Vance to outline the argument in their own words:
Rogan: Zuckerberg has gotten really into mixed martial arts, he’s gotten really into jujitsu, really into training. There’s very few things that will turn you into a conservative more than martial arts training. Like there’s no way to get ahead other than hard work…
Vance: Have you seen all these studies that basically connect testosterone levels and young men with conservative politics? Maybe that’s what’s going … maybe that’s why the Democrats want us all to be you know poor health and overweight. Because that means we’re going to be more liberal right? If you make people less healthy they apparently become more politically liberal. That’s an interesting observation.
While the jury might still be out on this one, it is interesting how the more one invests in their fitness of body the more one’s discipline in thinking quickly followers.
Hate Speech and Misinformation. Then we come to one of the most cherished virtues of the Old Left – free speech. And yet, weirdly this is something which the Democrats are currently seeking to undermine. As Rogan himself says:
Rogan: I was very upset when Tim Waltz was saying that the First Amendment doesn’t apply to hate speech and misinformation. Especially those two terms hate speech and misinformation because hate speech is so subjective and the marks are moving as to what’s called hate speech … it’s moving further and further away from normal.
Vance: If you say that an 11-year-old should not get gender transition drugs that is hate speech according to a significant subset of Left.
Rogan: Yeah, if you call Caitlyn Jenner Bruce Jenner that’s hate speech … you used to get banned for life from Twitter for dead naming someone yes which is just bananas. It is totally bananas. You can call him a c**t but you can’t call him Bruce. The whole thing is so crazy.
Vance: This is to me the biggest, the most fundamental difference, between Kamala and President Trump in the campaign. You know whether it’s Biden calling people garbage, or Tim Walz calling people fascist, or Kamla calling people Nazis, or endorsing explicit censorship … we’re not trying to censor our fellow Americans, right?
We’ll tackle Kamala on her our policies and ideas but we’re not trying to say you should be silenced, because you disagree with us that is anathema to everything that I believe in.
What’s happened in the modern democratic party – at least at the leadership level – is they’ve gotten really comfortable with the idea of silencing people who disagree with them… There’s something broken about the political culture of the Left.
This really goes to the heart of everything which is occurring in Western politics today. As Vance explains:
I actually think that what the Left is doing is degrading social trust by trying to create it from on high. I kind of get the psychological impulse because a lot of great things that we do come from high levels of social trust. But you’ve got to reestablish it organically. You can’t try to force it on people.
Media Bias. There’s really no one Left on the planet who thinks that the mainstream media is neutral. Not even publicly funded broadcasters can hide their political bias anymore. Vance gives an excellent example though, as to how this actually plays out:
I’m sure you paid attention to the kerfuffle over a comedian at the Trump rally? I think you even know this guy … he tells a joke about Puerto Rico.
The number of mentions on CNN about this joke in the last 48 hours – this was as of last night – 143 on MSNBC, 101 on ABC, 53 on NBC 32 and on CBS 31. In two days they talked about that joke effectively non-stop. Do you know what it means to have 31 mentions on NBC news about this particular thing? That is a crazy. That is saturation.
Last night Joe Biden called the half of America that’s going to vote for Donald Trump garbage. Do you think that the word ‘garbage’ is going to appear on CNN 141 times over the next two days? I would bet no. Now what’s the difference? Well one difference is that it was a comedian telling a joke and it’s the president of the United States telling what he actually thinks.
Another difference is again it’s a comedian, with at best a tenuous connection to the Trump campaign, and on the other hand you have the actual sitting president at a vice presidential campaign event telling the entire country at an event sanctioned by the Kamala Harris campaign that half of Americans are garbage.
I guarantee the media is not going to cover this in the same way … I tweeted about this last night that Politico initially tried to write the story about what had been said by Joe Biden they said that Biden had called racism against Puerto Ricans garbage. Well, who disagrees with that? I think that racism against Puerto Ricans is garbage. But that’s not what he said! He said that Trump’s supporters are garbage.
Politico tried to like recon this [but] it turned out there was a video so we can actually see for ourselves what was actually said. But the amount of dishonesty in the American Media really is off the charts.
There are numerous other examples which can and should be given. From Joe Biden’s obvious cognitive decline to Kamala Harris vacuous word salads.
One of the best suggestions Vance makes though, involves something he personally raised with Elon Musk. Vance said:
Vance: I’ve told Elon this. But the most useful piece of philanthropy if you’re a right-of-centre American would be to set up a nonprofit organisation where you pay a really good reporter for five years. You give them complete job security and you just tell them go off and investigate what’s going on in the world. And bring it back and report on the truth because if you don’t have that then that is where the media still has a fundamental advantage over us … they’ve got an army of people investigating me and Donald Trump. There’s no one really investigating Kamala Harris.
Rogan: There’s also the amount of left-wing media versus right-wing media which is pretty disturbing. Like what is the percentage of networks that lean left? CNN clearly, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS. And then you have Fox and a couple of online things like news nation and what have you. It’s much less.
Wouldn’t it be incredible if Vance’s suggestion to Musk came true? What if Elon invested in old school investigative journalism? The type of intellectually inquiry that the left used to pride itself on but is now completely one-sided.
Persecution of Political Opponents. One of the most stunning examples of gaslighting is Kamala Harris’s accusation that Trump will seek to put his political opponents in jail. Not only is this untrue – Hillary Clinton is still a free woman – but it’s the very thing that the Democratic Party has done! As Vance helpfully explains:
Do you know Steve Bannon? He got out of prison yesterday. They have the audacity to say Donald Trump wants to jail his political opponents. Steve Bannon just got out of prison after a four-year prison sentence yesterday. And by the way, do you know what he was put in jail for? Do you know the actual charge? Contempt of congress.
Eric Holder who was Obama’s attorney general was found in contempt of Congress, or at least Congress found him in contempt, it was never litigated. He was never tried, he was never put in jail, there was no court case around it.
The contempt of Congress that Steve Bannon engaged in is that the J6 committee or one of these you know Banana Republic committees from the Congressional Democrats, they issued him a subpoena. He, under the advice of his lawyer, felt that he couldn’t actually respond to the subpoena because executive privilege applied. They held him in contempt of Congress and they threw him in prison for it a charge that has been levied against multiple Democrats.
Republicans never tried to throw anybody in prison against it. Steve Bannon just got out of prison. Kamala Harris is literally using the power of government, she has already used the power of government, to jail her political opponents and she’s saying that Donald Trump is going to do the thing that he didn’t do and she did when they were in respective positions of power.
This is a key point. As Vance goes on to further explain:
Donald Trump is not going out there and has never said I want to arrest you because you’re a Democrat. He’s never said I want to arrest you because you disagree with me. He’s never said I want to censor you even because you engage in disinformation. What he has said is that we should investigate some of the obvious sources of corruption in the United States government. That’s not going after your political opponents. That’s what Kamala Harris has done.
The Hot Button Topic of Abortion. While Vance is himself decidedly pro-life more than anything he wants people to debate the issue on a state-by-state basis. Vance recognises the complexity of the issue and wants people to be able to discuss the issue vigorously and freely. Surely that’s a good thing?
But this was quickly where Left in particular sought to misrepresent Vance’s position. And it was a subject which Vance himself acknowledged that conservatives could do better in presenting. However, it didn’t take long for Rogan to himself call out the ‘gross’ misrepresentation which many in the media were making after their interview. In particular, of the left ‘editing’ the clip.
The Left “editing” a clip. Gross. https://t.co/OYypW3C1Vc— Joe Rogan Podcast (@joeroganhq) November 1, 2024
The Growing Threat to Religious Freedom. Then there is the vexed question of the separation of church and state – another one of those classic leftist positions. What Vance says below is what every leftist from even ten years ago would have applauded.
I’m sort of comfortable with everyone having our zone and within that zone I don’t want people to come in and tell me what to do. In my home I’d like to be able to raise my kids with my religious values and I’d like to be able to teach my kids what I think and you should be able to teach your kids what you think. Then we recognise that the more public the zone the less that I can get to control what you do. That’s part of living in a pluralistic society, I’m very comfortable with that.
I think unfortunately the modern Left seems to be less and less comfortable even with people of Faith having their own private zone right this is the trans thing where it’s like oh we’re going to take your kids away if you don’t consent to gender reassignment. Or you know we’re going to tell you that you can’t send your kids to a religious school you hear people say these things. Again, I think it’s the crazies, it’s not the majority of our fellow citizens.
But part of living in a pluralistic society is accepting that every man’s castle or every woman’s castle is his or her own. You’ve got to have respect for people within those castles and then we should hopefully just have some common sense things that everybody can agree on. When we’re talking about public spaces.
The Current Immigration Crisis. Immigration is one of those issues that people on the left simply will not let anyone discuss the negative effects of mass migration. Even when confronted with the fact that whole apartment buildings are being taken over by violent gangs.
Vance points out though, how does any society cope with the pressure on schools, hospitals and also the price of housing when it has an open border policy? Not only that, but Vance makes the provocative point that:
The first Islamist country that is going to have a nuclear weapon is … going to be the United Kingdom because they’re so bad at assimilating sort of newer immigrants into their society. You have definite communities in the UK where local leaders are running explicitly on Sharia law and winning elections in cities. This is in the United Kingdom right? This is England. This is like where America came from.
Even more importantly though, Vance responded to what he labelled as ‘the totally dishonest’ bill on the border put forward by Kamala Harris. Vance explains the issue in three salient points:
It put a cap of 1.85 million illegal aliens each year entering the United States before the border shut down.
It legally codified ‘Catch and Release’ where a person’s claim is processed over 15 years but during that time they could live in America rather than return to their homeland. This was something President Trump would be unable to undo.
Finally, it had nothing on the border wall, nothing on the immigration system called ‘Parole’.
All of which is to say, this was not a border security bill, it was a mass amnesty bill that would have made the border problem worse. Significantly, six Democrats voted against the legislation as well as the majority of Republicans.
The key question is why is this so popular? The answer is that the corporate lobby is seeking cheap labour. As Vance sensationally claims:
Let me tell you a story in 2017-18 when I was in the private sector I was at a business conference dinner and I was seated next to the CEO of one of the largest hotel chains in America. This is I think probably 2018 and the guy is going on and on about how much he hates Donald Trump. I’m like, ‘Oh that’s interesting, why do you hate Donald Trump?’ And he said, ‘Well the reason I hate Donald Trump is because Donald Trump’s border policies have cut down the number of illegal immigrants. And because I can’t pay illegal immigrants under the table anymore I have to pay American workers and they want much higher wages.’
I was like this guy just admitted it. I was like holy sh*t this guy just admitted it! Whatever the industry is you’ve got a lot of people who want cheap labour and they don’t want to pay American workers higher wages that’s a big part of it.
Do you remember when the left used to be pro-worker? It really wasn’t that long ago, but it’s increasingly feeling a lot longer.
Immigration and Voter Fraud. There is another problem with the extreme left’s obsession with mass immigration, and that obviously involves voting. As Vance explains:
I do think there’s also a power dynamic to it. In particular, I think Kamala Harris and the Democrats want to give these millions upon millions of illegal aliens the right to vote. They want to legalise them. They want to make it easier for them to participate in our elections and that means fundamentally the end of American democracy because you’re talking about 25 million people.
If Kamala Harris gives just 10 million of those people legal status and allows them to vote in American elections then you know say 70/30 they go Democrat, Republicans will never win a national election in this country in my lifetime.
Vance goes on to further explain that this is precisely how California became a ‘blue’ state. Due to the 1986 amnesty of Ronald Reagan. It also completely alters how congressional seats are apportioned since it’s based on total population. Rogan also sees the problem clearly here:
The one that drives me the most crazy is this idea that somehow or another it’s discriminatory to require ID to vote. That could only mean … I’ve tried to look at this from the most charitable position … it only makes sense if you’re trying to cheat. You need an ID for everything. You need an ID to rent a car!
Voter ID and Racism. Even the summary statement of this point shows you how ridiculous this is. But once again, I’ll let Rogan and Vance explain the lunacy of the argument in this own words…
Vance: If you can’t require people to show voter ID then I think you’re inviting fraud into your system. There’s also something implicitly very racist about this because what they say is voter ID means that black people aren’t going to vote.
Well, number one, if you look at polls the same level of support for voter ID exists in the black community as in the white community. It’s about 75-80 per cent of blacks and 75-80 per cent of whites support voter ID.
But they’re basically saying that black people can’t get identification when they say that voter ID is racist. They’re implicitly saying black people can’t get identification. I think that’s an actual racist concept.
I actually assume that black citizens are my fellow Americans and they can do the same thing that every other citizen can do, which is get identification.
Rogan: Yeah it’s fundamentally just gaslighting. That’s all it is. It’s you’re trying hard to make your point because you want people to be able to vote that maybe shouldn’t be voting.
Then there’s all these lawsuits where they’re counting votes that they know to be illegitimate. Well, they’re saying that there’s a certain amount of people that are in the system that they’re going to they want to keep in there, which is crazy. You’re saying you want people that shouldn’t be allowed to vote to vote.
…but the fact that the Left has no problem with this because they just want to win is insane.
Vance: But who’s going to hold their feet to the fire? Who’s going to tell the honest truth? The American Media has barely even covered the fact that in the middle of a very consequential presidential election Kamala Harris’ Department of Justice is suing to keep illegal voters on the voter roles.
Rogan: It’s crazy! It’s wild! So, it’s like for Trump to win he has to win by an enormous margin. He has to overcome a lot of this Shenanigans …
Vance: Well, as President Trump says we want to make it too big to rig. I look I encourage all of your listeners whether you agree with us on all the issues or not if you agree with censorship then vote. Kamala Harris and if you think Americans should be able to say what they want to say then get out there and vote. Vote early vote by mail.
The Pax Americana. Then there’s the craziness of the war in Iraq, one of the worst military decisions the United States has ever made. At this point, even Rogan has had more than his fill of red pills.
Rogan: The craziest thing that happened to me during this campaign was when Dick Cheney endorsed Kamala Harris and the left went crazy. Yay, Dick Cheney’s on our side!
How much do you hate Donald Trump that you’re willing to choose Dick Cheney over him? And that Dick Cheney is all of a sudden a good guy the engineer behind the Iraq war is responsible for how many people dead?
Vance: You know hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of Arabs, certainly thousands of Americans. The biggest world historical catastrophe I think in the history of the United States of America was the Iraq War. Because unlike other mistakes that we’ve made it was truly unforced.
There was no reason in hindsight to do it. There was nothing that we got out of it. We lost so many innocent people. We spent trillions of dollars. I think we destroyed the social cohesion that we had gotten after 9/11, because remember like after 9/11 everybody was an American? We were all on the same team, democrat or republican. We destroyed that.
So, who will win? Finally, where does all this leave us but the question of free speech. Not only have Donald Trump and JD Vance now appeared on one of the most popular podcasts in the world, but significantly, Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz have not. What are they frightened? Especially when Rogan says he just wants to talk! Up until ten years ago, this is something anyone on the Left would have revelled in:
Rogan: There’s only a few days left, how much of a chance do you think Trump has to win? Are you confident or is it close?
Vance: I’m confident but it is close … I think the early voting data looks really good. I think that people just fundamentally don’t want to do more of the same. And Kamala Harris is more of the same.
I think some of our arguments that Kamala Harris is a voter for the candidate of censorship is starting to really break through. But you know to your listeners, if you agree with what I’ve said here get out there and vote.
How, in 2024, has it come to a Republican to exhort the electorate on lifting censorship? What kind of parallel, metaverse have we entered into?
Strap yourself in folks
The US election is now only days away. Regardless of who wins, it’s going to be a crazy, wild ride. Not just for American but the rest of the free world as well. And who knows, perhaps there might even be a conservative resurgence.
