AN ATTEMPT to unite Australians behind a more “inclusive” national anthem appears to have backfired, with long-running community divisions spilling onto social media. Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced during his News Year’s Day address that the second line of the national song would now read “we are one and free” in place of “young and free”.
A NSW MP who last year threatened to topple the Berejiklian government over its support for late term abortions has again raised concerns over its treatment of unborn children. In a Christmas Eve email, Member for Mulgoa Tanya Davies said the NSW government hadn’t honoured its commitment to recognise unborn babies who had died as a result of crime.
