Gladys’s frightening communist ties revealed

PREMIER Gladys Berejiklian has appointed a known card-carrying communist to head up both the NSW Public Service and her own Premier’s Department.

In a move that would be highly controversial for even the most Left-wing politician, Ms Berejiklian has promoted former UK Communist Party member Jim Betts to the most powerful civilian post in NSW.

Mr Betts has been described by staff within his department as an ultra-Left activist more interested in public re-education than public service…

Mr Betts, who currently heads the NSW Planning Department, has been described by staff within his remit as an ultra-Left activist more interested in public re-education than public service.

“There’s hardly a Left-wing cause he doesn’t support and he makes sure everyone who works under him knows what they are.

“No-one openly disagrees.”

INDOCTRINATION

The staff member, who wished not to be named, said systematic indoctrination was rife in the Planning Department.

“We’re almost forced to ‘celebrate’ every radical cause they invent. Departmental events are regularly set-up for us to ‘learn how to be good citizens’.

“Whether it’s gender fluidity, white privilege, anti-male, climate change; there’s nothing too extreme. There’s no balance of views allowed – it’s all in one direction.”

NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham said Ms Berejiklian, who describes herself as a “progressive”, was in awe of Mr Betts.

“She might as well declare every State agency to be a Greens branch meeting,” he wrote in this week’s Spectator Australia magazine.

FANTASY

“One of the things that surprised me since coming into the NSW Parliament two-and-a-half years ago is the woke virtue-signalling and self-indulgent identity politics that defines the culture of the NSW public sector.

“There isn’t an LGBTIQ staff committee, harmony council, reconciliation talkfest, de-gendered language guide, Bruce Pascoe book club or Indigenous urban design fantasy that Betts hasn’t embraced.

“In fact, this is the bulk of his working day, soaking up his diary commitments until 4.55pm when he has just five minutes left to do the job NSW taxpayers want from him: approving high-quality development and employment projects.”

Mr Latham said Mr Betts was not an anomaly.

“He’s indicative of a workplace culture that’s exclusively about the Leftist politics of senior management, instead of the people of NSW and the customer service and value-for-money they expect.

“From this culture, the government has been ill-equipped to deal with the crisis of multiculturalism and COVID in Western Sydney.

“The Premier’s daily press conferences have recycled useless PC rhetoric about ‘diversity being our strength’.”

Mr Latham said Ms Berejiklian was as “woke as they come” and that it was becoming less disguised.PC

  1. Fortunately the people of NSW are awake to Gladys. 2GB notes that the majority turn off from her 11am broadcasts and come back once she is gone and get the details from Ray. Gladys’s legacy of her time in leadership will be the amount of businesses she is repsonsible for closing down – pre and post Covid lockdowns. It has diminished the GST amounts paid to the tax office, which were designed to cover NSW overheads. What there was, has to a large extent been paid out by the $10millions to lobbyists, and now there is little to support businesses who need help to survive Covid. Hence the focus on traffic fines, especially in obscurely signed school zone areas!! So much for the Liberal Party being better Treasury managers!! She is bent on destroying loved heritage structures to be replaced by modern ugly structures which have no meaning for the public. I predict the next state election will be lost by this mob – and no one will miss them!!

  2. Utter disgrace! Our premier being in awe of a monster is in sight of losing her next election unless she resigns.
What an absolute betrayal & becoming more hard left.
We don’t have a democracy any more.

  3. Another example of the gutlessness of the Libs to embrace, understand and implement truly liberal values. If Mr Betts is as left and alien to our fundamental values as seems to be the case, how does the Liberal Party expect the traditional supporters to vote for it? Again there is the debate whether to reform a party from within (hasn’t worked for WA Liberal Party!) or veer to Liberal Democrats or parties of Principle.

  4. Frankly, the Liberal Party is stuffed.
Can Gladys win the next election? All ‘Betts’ are off.

    1. I think Gladys will win. There are more people who support her vaccine policy then not. Also when the economy reopens all this hatred of her will evaporate.

      1. “Also when the economy reopens all this hatred of [Gladys] will evaporate.”

So you are a member of the highly-respected “Bread and Circuses” economic school.

It’s good to see we have someone of your calibre commenting here; an articulate and erudite individual who is clearly possessed of sublime analytical skills and who is steeped in knowledge of even the most esoteric subjects.

  5. The problem has always been with the bureaucrats who are whispering in our feckless politicians’ ears. Matt Kean has greens and swampies for all his senior staff.

I used to think Gladys was doing her best; not anymore; she is just another swamp elitist.

This is just disgusting; she has to go.

    1. “I used to think gladys was doing her best […]”

She is; she’s doing her level best to turn N.S.W. into a socialist state.

If Gladys weren’t in parliament, she would be considered as nothing more than a stupid woman, and unremarkable to the point that no one would give her as much as a second look. As such, she provides an excellent example of the standard of politicians who have been inflicted on this country by the major parties, and who continue to do so much damage in any possible way that they can.

      1. “I agree”.

When it comes to left-wing echo chambers, there’s always room for one more. Sadly, left-wing groupthink is all group and no thinking.

If you want to get some perspective on just what sort of person Gladys is, you should ask all the unborn babies who died because of her – killed for any reason imaginable, and sometimes on the flimsiest of pretexts that served as nothing more than a fig leaf for what was an act of outright murder. (Of course, slaughtering the defenceless and innocent is communism’s stock-in-trade).

The question that naturally arises is this: why would you or anyone else be splitting hairs about whether Gladys should be called a communist or not when she is demonstrably a deliberate and unrepentant murderess? Or don’t you think that babies matter?

  7. “Premier Gladys Berejiklian says Mr Betts will be an invaluable addition to the team, having experience in a number of senior roles across the public sector.

Mr Betts joined the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment in 2019 after having spent almost six years as the CEO of Infrastructure NSW.

“He brings with him a broad range of experience and expertise that make him a clear choice to lead the NSW public service,” Ms Berejiklian said.”

      1. What a love-in The Age article is for Comrade Betts. It makes you puke knowing these communists – who probably don’t have Australia’s best interest at heart – get promoted to the very pinnacle of control by a so-called conservative government.

This nation is done for if Gladys and her radical gang of Left Liberal con artists aren’t booted from office.

  8. As someone who has seen first hand Jim Betts in action, this article is true. Jim wants to be an “idol” not serve the nation’s best interests. Australian’s are witnessing “Communist leaders” at the highest level, with the devastating impacts already becoming apparent.
