The Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a hearing for Kash Patel to appear for confirmation as FBI Director.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump announced his nomination of Kash Patel for the role of FBI Director in his next Administration in November.

Trump made the announcement in a Truth Social post, commending Kash Patel’s career of “exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People.”

“He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution,” President Trump continued.

“This FBI will end the growing crime epidemic in America, dismantle the migrant criminal gangs, and stop the evil scourge of human and drug trafficking across the Border.”

Patel has picked up several endorsements since, including the National Police Association and the Veterans for Trump organization, The Gateway Pundit reported.

Kash Patel’s confirmation hearing is scheduled for January 30, 2025, at 9:30 am ET

Patel’s impressive qualifications include several high-ranking positions in the intelligence and defense communities, such as Department of Defense Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of National Intelligence under President Trump.

Previously, when Patel was running counter-terrorism for President Trump, the president oriented efforts to wipe out ISIS senior leadership and other key operatives. Patel further oversaw the rescuing of American hostages and detainees to return them to the United States.

As a terrorism prosecutor, Patel previously prosecuted ISIS, Al-Qa’ida, and other terrorist networks, and he was the lead prosecutor for the World Cup bombings in Uganda that killed an American and 76 people. While Patel served as Department of Defense Chief of Staff, they ended forever wars.

Patel will be a huge step up from Chris Wray’s targeting of innocent Trump supporters, pro-lifers, Christians, and concerned parents at school board meetings.

The Gateway Pundit recently reported that Patel is already working with Rep. James Comer (R-KY) and building plans to crush the deep state. Comer revealed that he had a lengthy discussion with Kash Patel and said, “Mr. Patel is the right man for the job. He recognizes the importance of ending the weaponization of federal law enforcement and holding Deep State bureaucrats accountable. Change is here!”

Because of what Patel will do to dismantle the bureaucracy and end corruption in the federal government, despite his long list of qualifications, Democrats have already announced plans to oppose his nomination.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Senator Dick Durbin has gone all out, sending letters to the Justice Department, Department of Defense, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), where he accuses Patel of working to undermine the transition process between Donald Trump and Joe Biden following the widespread fraud that occurred during the 2020 presidential election.

More from the Hill:

Sen. Dick Durbin (Ill.), the top Democrat on the panel, announced earlier this week he would oppose Patel’s confirmation.

“Kash Patel has neither the experience, the temperament, nor the judgment to lead the FBI,” Durbin said in a statement after a 30-minute meeting with Patel.

“Mr. Patel’s political grievances make him a favorite of the MAGA world, but they have not prepared him to work night and day to keep us safe from violent crime, drug trafficking, terrorism, and other threats. Mr. Patel is the wrong choice to lead the FBI.”

Durbin previously asked a trio of national security agencies that employed Patel during the first Trump administration to turn over information from their personnel files.

The Gateway Pundit will provide updates and a live feed from this important hearing next Thursday.
