Albanese channels Corbyn in quest for historic defeat

ALP leader Anthony Albanese has embraced such staggeringly bold climate policies he has all but ensured Labor’s complete routing at the 2022 Federal Election.

The longer Albanese remains in the job, the clearer is his mission to deliver his Party a Jeremy Corbyn-sized pounding at the upcoming poll.

Sick people pay good money for the kind of pain Albanese is about to inflict on his own Party.

DOUBLING DOWN

Corbyn recently guided British Labour to its worst defeat since the 1930s, handing UK Conservatives a majority it hadn’t seen since the ’80s under Margaret Thatcher.

Regardless, Albanese is taking Corbyn’s lead by doubling down on climate politics – even after the drubbing Australian Labor was handed at last year’s so-called “Climate Change Election“.

The ALP is already considering labelling its 2022 campaign “Stop Climate Violence!” because it plays so well with inner city focus groups.

OVERJOYED

Even the in-fighting National Party, which has no right to be confident, is overjoyed at the prospect of snatching most, if not all, regional seats from Labor.

Albanese last month said Labor would adopt an economy-wide zero net emissions by 2050. He wouldn’t nor couldn’t outline how this might be achieved.

His announcement was made in full knowledge it would chase away the last remnants of the nation’s heavy industry and would rocket Australia’s power prices straight into the Guinness Book of Records.

But Labor has already decided its most important voters now reside in Woolloomooloo and not in Queensland – and they can’t have both.

OUT OF WORK

According to former Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce, Albanese is speaking in code to blue collar workers.

“Zero net emissions is basic code for ‘we’re going to put you out of work’,” Mr Joyce said.

“Labor has made themselves very vulnerable. The trick for the Nationals is to ensure Labor’s seats don’t become One Nation seats.”

While Albanese seems hellbent taking the worst of Labor’s 2019 campaign and re-packaging it for 2022, only one things could prevent a complete Labor wipe-out.

If the Coalition is conned once again, from both inside and out, into following any part of Labor’s climate madness, Albanese will be off the hook.

If the PM falls for this con, the election result will again be close and could fall either way.PC

  1. The ideal Labor leader is a smarmy weasel with a low IQ who is characterised above all by a casual mendacity.

When it comes to choosing someone, they have within their party a veritable embarrassment of riches in that regard, so it really can’t be easy for them.
