26-year-old Markeese Bazelis was arrested after pushing a 23-year-old woman into a moving NYC subway train

A woman was pushed Monday morning into the side of a moving subway train as it entered the 168th Street Station near St. Nicholas Avenue in Washington Heights.

Fox 5 New York reports that the 23-year-old faced injuries to the face, hands, knees, and shoulders after hitting the side of the train and bouncing off.

“The victim told PIX11 News she was pushed out of nowhere. She said it’s been one of the worst days of her life,” PIX11 reports.

The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Markeese Bazelis, a likely homeless black man. He faces charges of assault, intent to cause serious injury and reckless endangerment, per Fox.

Footage posted to the Citizen app shows Bazelis answering questions from reporters as the police arrest him.

Bazelis reportedly told a reporter that “voices” told him to do it.

When asked if he would like to say anything to the victim, Bazelis responded, “No comment. She’s a victim for a reason.” Asked if he regrets what he did, Bazelis said, “Nope.”

This comes amid the ongoing wave of subway violence in liberal New York City, where violent criminals are empowered by Democrat politicians.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, another man was pushed into the path of a moving train on New Year’s Eve, leaving him in critical condition.

The next day, a 71-year-old woman who was on her way to church on New Year’s Day was violently attacked by four teen girls on a New York City subway. The woman said her glasses went flying after the teens punched her in the face as they tried to mug her, but she fought back and sent the teens running.

Also last month, multiple slashing incidents occurred, including one incident on Christmas Eve with two victims. One of the victims who was slashed on Christmas Eve, a 26-year-old woman, said that police were nowhere to be found when she was punched in the head and then attacked with a knife. “No one called 911. No one in Grand Central called 911. It was my neighbor,” she said. “I was on the phone with my neighbor when it happened, and she called 911.”

In two separate incidents, individuals were also lit on fire on the train: a man and a woman.

Most notably, a woman died after she was engulfed in flames on the subway last month. A viral video shows the illegal immigrant perpetrator watching the woman burn after setting her on fire on a New York City subway train. As the woman burned to death, no bystanders did anything to help but instead watched and filmed the incident.

Ironically, even one of the Democrats and a prominent advocate for New York City’s new congestion pricing policy, which taxes drivers for using the roads, fell victim to a subway attack earlier this month, The Gateway Pundit reported.

Leftist Layla Law-Gisiko was confronted by an individual with a shopping cart who spat in her hair and pushed her into a wall, leaving her with a bruised ankle and sore shoulder.

Hours after the attack, the $9 congestion toll on vehicles entering Manhattan, a measure championed by Law-Gisiko and the City Club to reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality by encouraging the use of public transportation, was implemented.
