FBI Director Kash Patel tripled down on his assertion that pedophile and billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast that aired on Friday.
Patel was grilled by Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) about Jeffrey Epstein’s death last month, and he said, “I believe he hung himself in a cell in the Metropolitan Detention Center.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino doubled down and parroted the same discredited government line that Epstein killed himself during a tense Fox News appearance with Maria Bartiromo.
The two faced massive backlash from people who just don’t believe that Epstein killed himself, coincidentally, in a facility known for its stringent security measures, while the guards failed to do mandatory checks on Epstein, were asleep, falsified records to cover their negligence, and the cameras were reportedly not working.
Joe Rogan wasn’t buying it either.
Patel initially broached the subject, telling Rogan, “Let’s just get to it because I know it’s on people’s minds, Epstein, right?” He continued, “We’ve reviewed all the information, and the American public is going to get as much as we can release. He killed himself,” and insisted that neither he nor Dan Bongino would hide information or mislead the American people.
“I’m working my ass off along with the leadership at the Bureau and DOJ to get you what we’re allowed to give you. And you’re gonna get the video of the cell, and you’re gonna see for yourself, and we will never be able to convince everyone.”
Rogan replied, “So what did you think before you got into office? Did you think that Epstein was murdered?” Patel Responded, “No… There’s just no way that you could have run an op and had people go into that cell and not have any video of it, and not have any people come out and say, ‘hey, yeah, I saw that guy. He shouldn’t have been there, the guard or this guy.’ there’s just no access points into places like this in the detention center.”
Asked about the guards sleeping while Epstein supposedly killed himself, Patel said, “Yeah. And in short order, you’ll see it,” and “it’s hard to surmise that from a video… Look, do guards doze off on the night shift? Yeah, but no one can get into the cell. And if they had gotten into the cell, you would see it.”
Rogan said, “But we were told that the cameras were down,” and Patel replied, “Well, I don’t know who said that.” Rogan fired back, “That was in the news,” and Patel reassured, “We’re giving you all the footage we have.”
Asked why we didn’t receive the footage sooner, Patel said, “You’d have to ask whoever the Attorney General back then was, Bill Barr.”
The New York City medical examiner concluded that Epstein died by suicide via hanging. As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, however, Dr. Michael Baden, a renowned forensic pathologist hired by Epstein’s family, observed the autopsy and noted injuries more consistent with homicidal strangulation, including fractures of the hyoid bone and thyroid cartilage. Patel also dismissed this evidence, saying he’d never seen it!
“We’ve got footage, and you’re getting it,” Patel said. When Rogan pressed him on the potential use of AI in the videos, Patel said, “Well, I can tell you, after having looked at it, this ain’t gonna be AI,” and “if it were AI, like someone wanted to come in and make it, they’d make it better.”
“There’s nothing in there, like in the video. You guys would be bored,” he added.
