Dear Australia,
If you continue to cast your votes for Labor, and will no doubt persist in doing so in the forthcoming Queensland election, when did you decide that you enjoy watching alleged biological men physically dominating biological women in contact sports?
If you’ve been observing the 2024 Olympics, you know what I’m alluding to. For those who haven’t, here’s a brief overview:
Algeria’s Imane Khelif, who failed a gender eligibility test last year and has faced a storm of criticism over her inclusion in the event, required just one devastating punch to prompt her Italian opponent to abandon their bout. Carini was not knocked down, but after being struck, she raised her hand and retreated to her corner, informing her trainer to end the fight. ‘I have never been hit so hard in my life,’ she said. ‘I had to safeguard my life.’
Imagine dedicating your entire life to perfecting your craft as a female boxer, only to see it all obliterated after a single punch from an opponent suspected to carry the genetic traits of a biological male (XY chromosomes). This is not the first time, nor is it the first sport, where this has happened. How many times do we need to witness women being physically harmed in sport before we realise this is not a matter of inclusivity, but of fairness and that of maintaining the integrity of balanced competition? Anything other than complete unified condemnation from our government can only be seen as an endorsement by our elected leaders that this kind of behaviour is acceptable if in the name of inclusion.
Is it fair to blame the Labor Party for this? Yes, absolutely. It is this kind of lunacy that is a direct result of Labor’s Woke ideologies and policies that come from places like the Queensland Parliament.
Shannon Fentiman, a Queensland Labor MP, previously stated: ‘A woman is someone who “identifies as a woman”.’ So Queenslanders, when you cast your vote for Labor, is this what you envisioned? With this kind of thinking, you will witness biological male athletes shattering the hopes, dreams, and sometimes bones of biological female athletes, on Australian soil, all in the name of inclusivity.
This article is not anti-trans, far from it, it’s pro-trans if anything. But there is a deeper problem. Sometimes I wonder if governments seek to manipulate and divide us by pushing dystopian ideologies with the sole desire of stripping freedoms and keeping themselves in power. Around the world, these policies and rhetoric create provocative and outlandish spectacles, like the Paris Olympic opening ceremony, and this becomes a powder keg that invokes an emotional response from the public. Politicians claim the predictable public response is ‘anti-trans’ or anti-something-else. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, there are new laws impinging on freedom of speech.
I think we can all agree that a biological man competing against a biological woman in a sex-segregated professional sport is unreasonable and not in the spirit of inclusion and any rational and civil-minded member of the public. Those who identify as trans would surely agree that this is not acceptable in today’s society. My response, and that of most of the public, is to help protect trans people from being used as live bait for public outrage. We need to unify as a people and realise we are all being played by the same puppet masters. We need to protect each other by calling out divisive psychological tactics any time we see it.
When you voted for Labor, did you foresee the party changing the laws so that ‘sexual reassignment surgery will no longer be required to formally register a change of sex in Queensland’?
When are we going to wake up and realise that the old ‘she’ll be right’ approach to politics is not working?
Our governments are getting a lot of things wrong right now.
We vote these people in, election after election, and still complain when the world turns into a clown-infested, Woke dumpster fire. This false democracy ruled by a bipartisan entity posing as rivals is quickly ruining everything we love about this country.
Things have got to change.
