JUST about everywhere you go in public, and when visiting just about any institution you can think of, the State will know where you are, what you are doing and when you are doing it. That these new controls on free movement elicited such minimal, bordering on invisible, treatment in the legacy media is yet another reminder of Australia’s abject failure.
THERE are two clues for those who believe a conspiracy exists behind the creation of the COVID State. One is the “they know they’re lying” argument that suggest that even if the politicians don’t fully realise that the Wuhan virus is not a global threat, their public health advisers surely do.
QUEENSLAND’s Chief Health Officer and incoming Governor, Jeannette Young, in doing her usual daily briefing for the Covidly supine, quivering masses, quietly slipped in the fact that one of the new “cases” in Queensland had been vaccinated. Not being at the press conference, I don’t know if any of our low information “journalists” asked the very obvious question.
KARL Marx’s famous dictum, working off the back of his fellow German philosopher Hegel, stated that “history repeats itself, first as tragedy, then as farce”. The emerging COVID State is a rich mix of both, delivered all at once.
WHY are we so willing to give up our freedoms and how the hell did we get here? These are two of the most commonly asked questions about COVID-19 hysteria and the formulation and implementation of the disastrous policies across the globe in response to the Chinese virus. Excellent questions both.
THERE’s a sniff in the air, what with Gladys clearly jumping the shark with the latest NSW lockdown extension and the promise of a “plan”. For plan, read vaccine passports and endless restrictions upon freedom in the face of – two alleged deaths with/from COVID and its alleged variants.
MANY in NSW were taken aback by “liberal” Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s decision to strap us all in for a lockdown as a result of a few dozen positive COVID tests and, as usual, no deaths. Even more were confounded by the lockdown extension leaked on Tuesday and announced on Wednesday, with its forced incarceration of school students, the promise of further and tougher restrictions on freedom, and, worst of all, the foreshadowing of a “COVID Plan” for the State.
WHEN all seemed lost – and perhaps it still is – the Morrison Government has found someone hated by the progressive elites that have come to dominate Australian mainstream politics. Some years back, I argued that Barnaby Joyce’s greater sin was not deserting his then wife, but rather that he refused to use his Party’s power to keep Malcolm Turnbull away from the top job.
NSW Premier Berejiklian is just like all the rest of them, perhaps even worse because of the now-dashed hope that she engendered that NSW would remain the smart COVID State…
THE Deep State of NSW is getting deeper by the day. And it seems those in power are not even trying to hide it. In what should now be called the COVID State – new number plates are clearly needed between the Murray and the Tweed – the political class is tightening the screws and turning up the dial.
