Several conservative German media have published the allegedly “secret” dossier the German intel service used to justify classifying the largest German opposition party, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) as “confirmed far-right”. The 1100-page dossier continues mainly public statements by party members which criticize open borders and mass immigration.
“Cicero“, “Tichy’s Einblick” and “Junge Freiheit” obtained the 1,100 page dossier which ex-Interior Minister Nancy Faeser used to drop a bomb on the AfD on her last day in office. The German secret political police (Office for the Protection of the Constitution – Verfassungsschutz / BfV) has since retracted its classification of the AfD as “far-right” after the AfD sued in court and US Senator Tom Cotton wrote to DNI Tulsi Gabbard to ask US intel agencies to stop exchangiing information with German secret services that spy on the political opposition.

The dossier released by the conservative media did not contain any new revelations, but consist entirely of public statements by AfD politcians that most US conservatives will find completely normal sentiments, such as a Facebook post by the party from 25. September 2023:
Instead of a pointless housing summit: Deportation for more housing! If hundreds of thousands or even millions enter Germany every year without the same number of apartments being built, there won’t be enough housing. So due to rising demand, rents also increase. The result: According to calculations by the housing industry association, up to one million apartments may be missing by 2025. But instead of even talking about how this problem can be reduced through consistent deportations and protected borders, the established parties organize a pointless housing summit and decide on brutal regulations at the expense of the Germans.
Pretty extreme, huh?
In another example for “racist and xenophobic statements” by the AfD, the secret police cited a nearly four-year-old Facebook post from AfD youth organization Chairman Carlo Clemens:
Anyone who takes a closer look at the coalition agreement of the Scholz government might think the mass migration of 2015 with all its consequences for Germany and Germans never existed. The coalition agreement takes no consideration for terror, foreign crime, social and cultural integration capacities and growing Islamization. Instead: even more migration, even more alleged ‘diversity’, even more naturalizations. Germany is becoming a Third World. settlement area.
To weaponize these fairly normal statements, the secret police twists Clemens’ post to ascribe to migrants “warlike intent” and accusing him of calling migrants “aggressive, culturally alien conquerors and invaders”:
The statements consistently deny humanitarian reasons for admitting refugees. Rather, they are said to have had penetrated Germany with warlike intent. The quotes attributable to the AfD thus collectively denigrate migrants as aggressive, culturally alien conquerors and invaders. They are accused of aggressively penetrating Germany at the expense of the indigenous population. In this way, migrants are framed as a major threat to Germany, which must be defended against. The continuous defamation and contempt of this group of people, which inmplicitly demands their discriminatory treatment, violate the constitutional guarantee of human dignity.
So the only evidence the German secret police could find to defame, spy on and potentially ban the AfD, are exaggerated misconstructions of the few edgy posts they could find.
ARE “NATIVE GERMANS” WORTH PROTECTING?
The AfD was classified as “right-extremist” because it defines German identity based on ethnicity.
That means, German identity is arbitrary.

The BfV even went so far as to impugn the AfD for “antisemitism” for criticizing non-Jews like the World Economic Forum’s Klaus Schwab with “negative antisemitic tropes that are typically applied to Jews. This not only violates the dignity of Jews, but also of non-Jews, who are effectively treated as Jews with antisemitic connotations.”
So the AfD is deemed “antisemitic” for criticizing the (now fired) head of the World Economic Forum Schwab, who is Swiss and whose father moved the family to Germany to work for the Nazi arms industry during WW II.
These are the best arguments the Germansecret police could muster, with all the resources of the German federal government.
The secret police dossier did not mention the AfD party program, which is entirely mainstream conservative.
