NEW Zealand Labour Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern continues to tantrum over Australia’s deportation of her criminal countrymen.
Her latest fuss comes after Australia booted out a New Zealand born ex-pat who travelled to Syria to support terrorist group ISIS.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was having none of it.
- Jacinda Ardern continues to tantrum over Australia’s expulsion of NZ criminals.
- New Zealand says it's fed up with Australia 'exporting its problems'.
- Hard-line Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was having none of it.
“My job is Australia’s interests,” he told The Guardian yesterday.
“And it’s my job as Australia’s prime minister to put Australia’s national security interests first,” he said. “I think all Australians would agree with that.
“The legislation that was passed through our parliament automatically cancels the citizenship of a dual citizen where they’ve been engaged in terrorist activities of this nature.”
Mr Morrison said enemies of Australia had no right to live here.
“Australia’s interest here is that we do not want to see terrorists who fought with terrorist organisations enjoying privileges of citizenship which I think they forfeit the second they engage as an enemy of our country.
Ms Ardern, meanwhile, said she was tired of Australia “exporting its problems”.
“We will put our hands up when we need to own the situation and we expected the same of Australia,” she said. “They did not act in good faith.
“New Zealand, frankly, is tired of Australia exporting its problems.”
Ms Adern said she held a “very strong” position.
SYRIA
“Our very strong view on behalf of New Zealand and New Zealanders was that individual was clearly most appropriately dealt with by Australia,” she said.
“That is where their family reside, that is where their links reside and that is the place from which they departed for Syria.
“I raised that issue with PM Morrison and asked that we worked together on resolving the issue. I was then informed in the following year that Australia had unilaterally revoked the citizenship of the individual involved.
“You can imagine my response.
“Since that time we have continually raised with Australia our view that their decision was wrong. We continue to raise that view.”
DETAINED
Ms Ardern said the fact the criminal had children was an issue.
“My concern, however now is that we have a situation where someone is now detained with two small children.
“My focus is on resolving this issue with the best interest of the children in mind while continuing to make very strong representations to Australia about their responsibility here.” PC
Given that the terrorist woman and her 2 children are currently in Turkey, all that Jacinta Ardern has to do is to likewise cancel their NZ Passports if NZ doesn’t want them, game, set and match. Turkey’s regime is much better equipped to deal with the likes of these people than are either Aust or NZ authorities.
