Kean ‘most despised’ in political history

by SEAN BURKE – NSW Treasurer Matt Kean has been labelled the “most despised politician” in State history.

The confused Liberal Party MP, who has prioritised his personal pet projects ahead of the people he’s presumed to serve, has been widely criticised on the NSW election campaign trail.

Mr Latham said Matt Kean personified the Liberal Party’s split personality of pandering to Green and Teal radicals.

The NSW general election is scheduled for Saturday, March 25.

According to NSW One Nation leader and former federal Labor leader Mark Latham, Matt Kean has waved a white flag to the “wealthy politics of indulgence”.

PANDERING

Mr Latham said the Left-faction Liberal Treasurer personified the Liberal Party’s split personality of pandering to Green and Teal activists.

“The Teals are part of the difficulty in State politics in getting a rational discussion about energy policy,” he said.

“These are the people who have so much money in life that they think they can save the planet.

“While their own livelihood is not threatened, they are happy to sacrifice tens of thousands of other people’s jobs.

“And Matt Kean waves the white flag at them – where whatever they say on climate he says “yeah!, we’ll do all that, we’ll do all that.”

Mr Latham said Mr Kean had publicly surrendered to the radical Left.

“The feedback I’m getting from One Nation candidates in the Hunter and Western Sydney, our working class heartland, is that Matt Kean is the most despised politician in the history of State politics,” he said.

ASSESSMENT

The NSW One Nation leaders’ assessment has been supported by NSW’s Liberal Democrat Party.

Liberal Democrat candidate John Ruddick has been clear that, unlike Mr Kean, his Party is not interested in courting far Left support on climate, race-based and anti-capitalist politics.

“We reject big business teaming up with government to distort the free market as a form of cronyism rather than capitalism,” he said.

“We’re sceptical of the global warming orthodoxy.

“We should not copy the mistakes of other governments who have self-harmed by going too hard, too fast with unreliable energy.

“We can drive energy prices down and recharge the private sector if we flick the switch back to ‘on’.

“The Liberals and Nationals have somehow calculated that, although their beige strategy failed in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria and federally, it’ll be a case of fifth time lucky in the coming NSW election,” he said

“The Liberal Party is almost 80 years old. It has had dark days before … but not like this.” PC

  1. Matt Kean is the greatest obstacle to rebuilding the NSW Liberal Party as a centre-right political party – as it was at its inception and should be now.

  2. What LP Deputy Leader & Treasurer, supposedly attended a celebration bash in Mosman when Albo won the federal election?

  3. As one who has been a voter for 58 years, and until2012, was a 46 year active branch non factional member; this coming erection will be the first time EVER that I will NOT be voting Liberal in the Lower House. 3 reasons for this. 80% is that lamentable goose Kean, who makes the Communist Party look like a bloody Right Wing group! 20% are split between the party not doing anything to keep one of the best and most publicly popular ministers, David Elliott, in a winnable seat; and the third is the recent opportunist rolling of my good local Member for Holsworthy, Melanie Gibbons, by the opportunist Mayor’s wife! The Village Idiot would be aware that Perrottets days are now, very numbered, till 6PM on March 25, when that awful wring in with ultra left views will be planning on the best moment to stick the knife in his back! No way can we afford to have Kean as the Party leader!!!

  4. The problem is if people vote Liberal and after the election something happens to Perrotet, then you could end up with Matt Kean as premier. Imagine that – Albo as PM (which is bad enough) and Kean as premier.

  5. Here is a Treasurer that can’t add up! He thinks you can replace a 3,000 megawatt coal-fired power station with 850 megawatts of renewable energy coupled to the world’s largest battery. Even kindergarten kids could tell you that won’t work. So the energy regulator rings a loud bell, and waves a big red flag warning that strategy will lead to widespread blackouts. The electorate of Hornsby should be blacked out for a week to show everyone what life under Premier Kean would be like!
