The Kiev regime’s decision to shut down the transit of Russian gas to Europe through Ukrainian territory has enraged its former allies to varied degrees.

In the case of Slovakia, this has turned into an open conflict that may end up hurting Kiev’s ambitions to join the European Union.

Ukrainska Pravda reported:

“Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has harshly criticized Ukraine as an unreliable partner and said he was tired of President Volodymyr Zelensky travelling around Europe ‘begging’ and ‘blackmailing others’.”

Fico was shot multiple times back in May by an opposition extremist who advocated for aid to Ukraine.

PM Fico, in a speech to parliament on Friday (10), blasted Ukrainian leadership much harder than before.
Fico explained to MPs the reasons for his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow, and provided information about his next steps regarding the termination of Russian gas transit through Ukraine.

“Fico said that two solutions to the issue of gas transit from Ukraine to Slovakia had been prepared, which Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal had allegedly agreed upon.

One of them was supposed to be an agreement between Russia and Azerbaijan allowing Slovakia to receive Azerbaijani gas, but Fico says that Volodymyr Zelensky disrupted this agreement. The second option was a proposal for SPP’s parent company to set up a subsidiary on the Russian-Ukrainian border so that Slovak gas could be transported to Slovakia via Ukraine.”

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has stopped military aid to Ukraine as soon as he was elected.

Fico said Zelensky is ‘unreliable’, adding that he was ‘fed up with him’.

“He [Zelensky] goes around Europe, just begging and blackmailing others, asking for money. It just has to stop.”

The Prime Minister declared that Russia has been a ‘reliable partner’ in the matter of energy supplies.

“Russia has never deceived us, unlike Ukraine. I remember the situation in 2009 when I was in Ukraine and asked Ukrainian Prime Minister Tymoshenko to give us some gas from the reservoirs in the western part of Ukraine, and I was told to go to hell. These are typical Ukrainians.”

During the address to parliament, Fico threatened a veto of EU decisions on Ukraine.

“Zelensky goes around Europe just begging and blackmailing; this has to stop. Do you think the Germans will send us gas!?”
