It appears something was lost in translation after President Trump last night announced a historic breakthrough in stopping illegal immigration.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump said that he and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum have agreed to shut down the borders and combating drug trafficking into the United States. This would prove welcome news to the millions of Americans who have suffered from the Biden-Harris regime’s intentional neglect of our southern border and Mexico’s dereliction.
“Just had a wonderful conversation with the new President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo,” Trump wrote on Truth Social “She has agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border.
“We also talked about what can be done to stop the massive drug inflow into the United States, and also, U.S. consumption of these drugs,” he continued. “It was a very productive conversation!”
A few hours later, Sheinbaum responded on X to Trump’s announcement and had a very different take on the conversation between the two leaders.
“In our conversation with President Trump, I explained to him the comprehensive strategy that Mexico has followed to address the migration phenomenon, respecting human rights,” she wrote in Spanish. “Thanks to this, migrants and caravans are assisted before they reach the border.”
“We reiterate that Mexico’s position is not to close borders but to build bridges between governments and between peoples,” she added.

It’s possible Sheinbaum is lying to the public about the call from Trump to save face so she does not look like she’s backing down. However, one would not be surprised if she lied to Trump during the call to make him look foolish.
As The Gateway Pundit has reported, Sheinbaum is a typical leftist who blames ‘neoliberal economic policies’ (which in Latin America means Capitalism) for poverty, promises a ‘strong welfare state’, and means to ‘guarantee the minimum rights to all residents.’ Moreover, she is into the ‘climate change’ cult and locked down Mexico City when she was mayor during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sheinbaum was also livid over Trump’s bold move to hold her nation accountable with 25% tariffs for permitting the illegal alien invasion and threatened to impose tariffs in response. She then went on to blame America for rampant cartel violence in Mexico and the fentanyl crisis.
Sheinbaum next stated she wanted a call from Trump and would send a letter to Trudeau.
