SCOTT Morrison’s only chance of repairing his savaged reputation is by using his newly acquired preselection powers to install “real” Liberals into NSW seats.
The Prime Minister has been widely condemned over his handling of NSW’s factional infighting and is accused of doing the Left’s bidding.

- Wresting control of the NSW Division, the PM will have final say on candidate preselection.
- Senior Liberal members have threatened to withdraw campaign volunteers.
- There’s only one way out of this mess for Mr Morrison – select conservatives!
Wresting control of the NSW Division last week, the Prime Minister and NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet, together with former Federal President Christine McDiven, will have final say on candidate preselection. This includes a number of high-profile seats such as Warringah, Hughes and Parramatta.
Senior NSW Liberal Party members, however, have threatened to withdraw volunteers from the upcoming election campaign if candidates are parachuted in by the federals.
CONCERN
There is growing concern among Party members that Mr Morrison will support Left-backed candidates as payback for a deal guaranteeing the preselection of his factional ally, Alex Hawke, in Mitchell.
“While claiming centre-Right status, Mr Morrison is a product of the Left,” outgoing Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells told Parliament this week.
“He and his consigliere Alex Hawke have deliberately contrived a crisis in NSW through a year of delays in not having selections.
“Hawke, as the PM’s representative on State Executive, for months and months failed to attend nomination review committee meetings to review candidates – thereby holding up preselections.”
Senator Fierravanti-Wells said this delaying tactic resulted in Federal intervention, which subsequently installed Mr Hawke into Mitchell without a constitutionally required plebiscite.
STENCH
“The [Liberal Party] constitution was trashed. There is a putrid stench … emanating from the NSW division of the Liberal Party.”
Constitutional expert Pro David Flint said he saw only one way out of this mess for Mr Morrison.
“If there is the slightest justification in the Triumvir’s coup, it must surely be to appoint electable and real Liberals, not LINO’s [Liberals In Name Only],” Pro Flint said.
“Just a talk with Lincoln Parker would persuade anyone, even slightly committed to the national interest, that here is a person desperately needed in the parliament and who easily outshines Ms Steggall.
“And while they are at it, why not offer Parramatta to Tony Abbott?” PC
Sometimes a LEADER needs to be just that — A LEADER — take the LEAD! Morrison’s advisers would have researched in depth and chosen the best options for Liberal candidates. The P.M. is determined to win this election, – just as determined as millions of sane Australians are to re-elect his A+ TEAM.
I’m sorry that Connie is now in an unelectable position, but with the present bastardised Russian war-mongering blasting, decimating and killing thousands in Ukraine and a very belligerent China buying the rights to set up camps right on our doorsteps, the return of Jim Molan, (with his extensive military experience, his strategic wisdom and common sense), is an obvious necessity.
The left are now SLINGING MUD AT MORRISON relentlessly, blatantly lying and trying to frighten pensioners with gross deceits.
However, because of ALBANESE’S continual, ignominious blunders and very obvious ignorance, (providing an unmissable comedy show every night), THE MUD WILL NOT STICK, it will boomerang back, cover the slingers and the truth, decency and plain sense emanating from the P.M. and his cohort will not be extinguished.
Facts speak louder! Bye Bye Morrison and Labor/Greens, full steam ahead for ON, UAP, GAP, LD’s to name but a few Good men and Women 🙂
Prime Minister Morrison has been subjected to similar “relentless negativity” and character assassination smearing that Tony Abbott experienced as Opposition Leader and then Prime Minister.
The fact is that when political mud is thrown some sticks, the more mud thrown the more sticks until the target is covered in mud and people generally have lost sight of the person before the mud slinging began. In fact sales and marketing “hyperbole and puffery” works as do similar tactics in politics. Just as consumers can be convinced to buy goods and services as voters they can be manipulated for or against politicians. Mainly because the majority have no interest in politics, many seem to believe politics is not for them to worry about, but they love soap operas and sadly many even identify with the actors.
“Prime Minister Morrison […]”
He’s not the Prime Minister; he’s keeping the seat warm until someone with the requisite intelligence and real-life experience comes along (don’t hold your breath waiting for that to happen).
(Of course, all that’s required to warm a seat is an arse, so at least Morrison is well-qualified for that task.)
I like Senator Connie, but she has fallen victim to the deals her right faction has endlessly done with the left. One can only assume she approved of all this deal-making – until the last one that saw her ousted.
A tip, stop dealing with the left. They will betray you and, then, they will devour you.
The Federal Executive has now moved to counter the NSW State LINO Executive faction, however the preselection voters who did not support the Senator were reported to number 500 members.
We can all dream that Morrison will find a tenth of the integrity of John Howard – but we’d be delusional.
It’s not the way he talks but the way he walks that is the Liberal Party’s biggest dilemma.
Meanwhile, in the real world …….
