FROM November, news about the Wuhan virus will no doubt move from the front page.
Our power-drunk politicians will have to calm down and think about how to repair the massive and unnecessary damage they have done to the Australian economy, including the $6 billion they admit to pouring down the drain to incentivise idleness.
(Unsurprisingly, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a fan of Modern Monetary Theory which claims all this madness doesn’t really matter.)
PROPAGANDA
This change in the news will be because most Australian media slavishly follow the American mainstream, except when they are acting as Beijing’s preferred media outlet, as the ABC recently did in its denunciation of the principal victims of the communists’ monstrous human organ trade on demand.
The fact is the US mainstream media no longer report the news. Instead, they are the propaganda arm of the Democratic party, once pro-slavery then pro-segregation and now so far left, they endorse the rioting anarcho-communist Black Lives Matter.
Trump’s opponents are so determined he be defeated, they prefer to keep seriously damaging and unnecessary lockdowns in Democrat-controlled states to avoid any recovery before November. Similarly, Democrat governors and mayors are defunding police and allowing violent BLM riots to continue, with the compliant media not reporting or playing them down, even claiming they are peaceful.
Fortunately, a Biden victory remains most unlikely. This is despite the fact that, as Washington-based strategist Gregory Copley confirms in an important new book, The New Total War of the 21st Century, Beijing’s overriding priority is to ensure President Trump, the most effective opponent they have ever encountered, will be defeated by Biden whose family has done so very well from them.
His victory is also unlikely despite the polls. Most insisted Mrs Clinton would win in 2016; their mission is not so much to measure opinion. It is to shape it.
Even the few unbiased polls can contain error, as shown here just before the last Australian election.
DECLINE
Polling accuracy is increasingly undermined by the growing “shy Tory” phenomenon. Not only are conservatives reluctant to reveal their opinion, so too is anyone who is not politically correct. They know that doing so can risk their jobs, or worse. They suspect that in a digital world, they can be easily identified as “class enemies” by the latter-day Stasi.
Trump is clearly the saviour of the West. To the few serious observers in 2016, his agenda confirmed this. They also realised a Clinton administration would be a sad continuation of Obama’s agenda that the US, neither exceptional nor worthy, had to be managed into a gradual decline.
The consequence for Australia of a Biden win would be the transition from a world dominated since the settlement by a benign friendly power into one under a decidedly evil empire.
Until Beijing maliciously allowed, without warning, the spread of the Wuhan virus, the extraordinary achievements of the Trump administration would have assured his re-election.
Trump delivered record full employment, the unprecedented advancement of Americans of African origin, energy independence, taxation and regulatory reform, reduced illegal immigration, an end to Beijing’s abuse of trade relations and intellectual property rights, no more foreign military adventures, allies pulling their weight, a curb to judicial activism and restored US military dominance.
His opponents never accepted the election result, hoping that a never-ending series of silver bullets, many illicit, would lead to his overthrow.
ILLICIT
This went against the respect traditionally accorded a president. We see this in press conferences where “journalists” address him with offensive impertinence and unacceptable rudeness, without the courtesy of standing and genuinely seeking information or comment. Some interrupt and shriek increasingly insulting supplementary questions when the President has clearly moved on. All the time there is an infantile disrespect not only to the man but to the highest office in the land.
When the President came to realise that the Obama administration had initiated an illicit “wiretapping” of his campaign and rightly denounced this assault on democracy itself, this was treated by the media as proof he had lost his mind, even though they now ignore compelling evidence about the mind of his opponent.
The ridicule with which the media greeted his claim was mirrored in Australia with TV presenters rolling over in mirth. Indeed, too much of the news in Australia about the US concentrates on imagined presidential “gaffes”. It was lazy journalism when they robotically did this to the Sovereign’s consort; to do this to the most powerful Western leader denies Australians important news.
As with everything else coming from the US Left, however ridiculous, this propaganda has had a major influence in Australia. So much so that when Trump won the presidential election, this was greeted with surprised outrage by our media with at least one Australian journalist apparently near to a nervous breakdown.
FEDERAL POLICE
One empty explanation was to blame the electoral college. Without this, as with the Australian Senate, there would have been no federation. Yet Trump’s victory is downplayed because, a sensible man, he campaigned to win the college and not a pointless popular vote tainted by fraud, especially in the most populous states.
Declassified documents have just shown the FBI leadership actually used a so-called defensive briefing for the Trump campaign in 2016, ostensibly to warn them about foreign intelligence attempts to spy on them, to do the spying. Imagine if before the last election, the Morrison government had ordered the Federal Police to spy on the ALP campaign. That is not what happens in democracies.
Nixon lost the presidency not because of any personal involvement in spying. It was in subsequently trying to cover it up. The Obama administration seems to have done far worse and this was continued for years by its placemen.
Well before the election, Attorney General Barr should ensure that the Durham investigation results in criminal action against all the principal offenders.
The future of the West could depend on it.PC
An exceptional essay Professor Flint, relaying all the necessary truthful facts. If only it could be required reading for all U.S. citizens as well as all Australians.
Australians should all be loudly supporting Trump. He is the only person who could possibly lead the most powerful Democracy in the Western World. A Biden win would be such a shocking disaster, with such dark and terrible consequences for the whole world, that I cannot bear to think along that path!
