Top banker Staley and the ghost of his Epstein friendship
British bank can’t seem to shake off the stink of its Epstein ties.
Since 2023, we’ve been reporting here on TGP about the dangerous liaisons between late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and former top executive at JPMorgan and former CEO at Barclays, Jes Staley.
Their ties were prominently featured in the US Virgin Islands’ lawsuits against both banks, and in litigation between Staley and JPMorgan.
And now, Barclays is facing a tough legal fight with investors over claims the bank misled them about the true nature of Staley’s ties to Epstein.

The Telegraph reported:
“The British banking giant risks being sued for hundreds of millions of pounds in the High Court, in the first UK claim triggered by the actions of its former chief executive.
The investors, who are being represented by City litigation fund Woodsford, claim to have suffered vast stock market losses when the truth about Mr. Staley’s ties to Epstein came to light.”

Staley visited his close friend Epstein in 2009 while he served a prison sentence for sex offenses.
“Mr. Staley, who ran Barclays between 2015 and 2021, was later issued with a £1.1m fine and a lifetime ban from the City over his relationship with the disgraced pedophile financier.
This came after Mr. Staley was found to have misled Barclays about the nature of his relationship with Epstein and the point of their last contact.”
This email chain between the banker and the disgraced financeer references someone as ‘Snow White’ – this could have explosive repercussions, but it was never investigated
