In an ordinary news cycle, the current President rescinding the former President’s security clearance would be a matter for the headlines. With world-changing Executive Orders arriving every few hours, it was more of a ‘scroll too fast and you miss it’ moment.
‘There is no need for Joe Biden to continue receiving access to classified information. Therefore, we are immediately revoking Joe Biden’s Security Clearances, and stopping his daily Intelligence Briefings.’
The announcement continued:
‘He set this precedent in 2021, when he instructed the Intelligence Community (IC) to stop the 45th President of the United States (ME!) from accessing details on National Security, a courtesy provided to former Presidents. The Hur Report revealed that Biden suffers from “poor memory” and, even in his “prime”, could not be trusted with sensitive information. I will always protect our National Security. JOE, YOU’RE FIRED. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!’
As you can glean from Donald Trump’s post on Truth Social, there is a little bit of tit-for-tat and revenge going on but then, it is difficult to blame Trump for this considering what the Democrat regime subjected him to, for years.
They wanted Trump to rot in a jail cell, Trump is only forcing Biden to sit in blissful silence.
There is little evidence that Biden knows or cares about this event. The physical decline of Joe Biden is the chief reason the Democrats switched him out of the Presidential race at the last minute for the deeply unpopular cackling Kamala Harris.
The Hur Report referenced by Trump is the Report from Special Counsel Robert K Hur which referred to Biden as a ‘well-meaning elderly man’ with a ‘poor memory’.
Whatever sympathy Americans may have felt for an aging statesman in mental decline, it did not extend to the media class and Washington politicians who deliberately deceived the public about the situation. They made the ‘puppet president’ accusation real and to this day, we do not know if those strings were being pulled by a thousand people or a handful of deceivers.
What is interesting, from a spectator’s viewpoint, is the declining relationship between presidents of former regimes and different parties. This is left as an aftertaste in the pages of the world’s press.
Democrats, and the Global Left in general, have re-imagined conservatives as ‘evil’. For decades, conservatives took the high ground as one might with a toddler rolling around on the floor, screaming, but Trumpian politics is the equivalent of the parent stepping in with a smack. The Democrats are not supernaturally evil, they are something much worse. They are socialists. They are anti-West. They are revolutionaries with the goal of dismantling citizen power and coalescing into a central ‘Daddy State’ force. They are a post-war resurrection of what American soldiers died to stop.
The necessary souring of the cross-party relationship, and the widening of the ideological gap between the Democrats and Republicans (and even the Trumpians and Never-Trumpers), shows that the Culture Wars are not only real, but raging in full view.
Donald Trump won the Presidential election because he framed it as a battle between a pro-nationalist, pro-capitalist, pro-strength, pro-Western future and a declining socialist-lite, globalist decay of diminishing returns.
Most Americans want to make money, stay safe, and live in a global powerhouse. The American Dream might be flickering, but it is not forgotten.
If America First was all Donald Trump offered, it probably would have been enough. So why, we may ask, has Trump employed a team to rip the foundations of the swamp apart and tear open the government books?
Not in their wildest dreams could China or Russia hope to throw as much shame on the American Establishment as Elon Musk has achieved through Doge.
Yet there is a certain brilliance in airing the dirty secrets of former administrations.
Donald Trump has drawn a line in the sand and stepped over it, distancing himself from the corruption that has crippled America and defrauded the taxpayer of, potentially, trillions of dollars over the decades.
There is no way to tell how much money has been wasted in the diligent corruption of America, or how many political parasites have latched onto the State and enriched themselves at the expense of the nation.
All we know is that those who are engaging in this behaviour right now, are the ones with their hands in the cookie jar.
Elon Musk snapped the lid closed, broken their fingers, and is refusing to find a nurse. He wants them to squeal. He wants the guilty parties to out themselves through their public complaints.
Plenty of Democrats are doing just that, taking to the streets to protest against … uh … exposing corruption.
Corrupt Lives Matter! Someone should print that on a t-shirt for them.
High-powered people have been sacked. Employees are going to jail. There are real consequences attached to Trump’s election promises.
Ironically, all the powerful people who championed censorship and surveillance to ‘keep us safe’ are the ones kicking up a fuss now that their lives are under the microscope. Suddenly, they are concerned about privacy. Suddenly, they think secrets are important.
The depths of a financial, social, and democratic crisis make it impossible for these individuals to beg forgiveness.
You can feel how cold the American taxpayer is to their plight all the way from Australia.
The worst part is, Musk didn’t have to ‘dig’ for this corruption. It was laid at the front door of each department, piled high, and left as a mess he practically tripped over on the way in.
This strongly implies that every President in the last, say, 80 years, knew about it and did nothing.
Instead of passing censorship, misinformation, disinformation, and hate speech legislation to ‘restore trust in the State’, Donald Trump is building public trust through transparency and justice.
Guess which strategy works?
There is a lesson here for Australia. Although, I doubt Canberra is listening.
