Former Obama adviser completely crashed out on live TV, nearly in tears, while defending child killer Lindsay Clancy.

A live television debate over the horrifying Lindsay Clancy case descended into a full-blown meltdown when Democrat strategist and former Obama adviser Laurie Watkins became emotional and stormed off after being confronted over the growing movement of women rallying behind Clancy.

Clancy, 36, is currently on trial for killing her three young children, Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, eight months old, inside their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home on January 24, 2023.

Clancy’s attorneys do not dispute that she strangled the children with exercise bands. She has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder, arguing that she should be found not criminally responsible because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Prosecutors contend Clancy understood that her actions were wrong and deliberately sent her husband, Patrick, away to pick up food and medication before killing the children. She then jumped from a second-story window, leaving her paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.

During the explosive televised confrontation, political commentator Thomas Corbett-Dillon tore into the women who have gathered outside the courthouse to support Clancy.

“These are man-hating women that are standing outside,” Corbett-Dillon said. “This is what it’s about. They think the husband did it. They’re crazy. They’ve lost their minds.”

Hundreds of women wearing pink previously lined the street outside Plymouth County Courthouse carrying signs reading “She Needed Help” and declaring their support for Clancy.

But Corbett-Dillon argued that the public spectacle has transformed the woman who killed three children into the supposed victim, all while the dead children and their grieving father are pushed into the background.

“They say that Lindsay was in psychosis. I think these women are suffering from psychosis,” he said. “They’ve been watching too many true-crime Netflix dramas.”

Corbett-Dillon also noted that Clancy had access to doctors, psychiatric treatment, medication, family assistance, and a nanny before the killings.

“This was an incredibly privileged woman, incredibly wealthy. She had a nanny, and she’s still complaining that she needed help,” he said. “She could not have gotten more help from the system than she already received.”

Watkins attempted to interrupt, claiming that nobody was defending the killings but arguing that women could still show Clancy empathy.

“I don’t think anybody’s defending what she did, but you can have empathy for what she went through,” Watkins said.

But that excuse did not satisfy Corbett-Dillon.

“What are they thinking? They’re defending this woman,” he fired back.

Watkins became increasingly emotional as Corbett-Dillon refused to back down.

“What you just said was absolutely disgusting,” Watkins snapped. “You should be ashamed of yourself.”

“You clearly don’t care, so pipe down,” she added.

Corbett-Dillon then issued a blunt warning to men watching at home.

“Men watching this, if you have a woman sitting next to you on the sofa who is defending this murderer, you’ve got to think deeply about this,” he said.

That was apparently the final straw for Watkins.

“I’ve had it with you!” she declared before storming away from the discussion.

Crobett-Dillon wrote on X: “FEMINIST MELTDOWN & STORMS OFF! Why are so many women defending Lindsay Clancy!? They’ve lost their minds!”

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, the Clancy trial has become the latest political and cultural spectacle in which radical feminists have turned the accused into a martyr, placed masculinity on trial, and seemingly forgotten the three innocent children who lost their lives.

Some online activists have even circulated allegations against Patrick Clancy despite surveillance footage, phone records, and trial testimony supporting his account that he was away from the home when the children were killed.

The defense argues that Clancy experienced command hallucinations and was “frankly psychotic.” Defense psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick testified that Clancy believed she was being controlled like a “puppet.”

Prosecution expert Dr. Kirk Heilbrun reached the opposite conclusion, testifying that Clancy retained “moral awareness,” understood the illegality of her actions, and was criminally responsible for the children’s deaths.

As of Tuesday, prosecutors were presenting their final rebuttal witnesses, with closing arguments expected next.

If convicted of first-degree murder, Clancy faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. If found not criminally responsible, she would be committed to a Massachusetts psychiatric facility.

Whatever the jury ultimately decides about Clancy’s mental condition, one fact cannot be erased: Cora, Dawson, and Callan are dead.

Yet for the feminist activists gathering outside the courthouse, Lindsay Clancy, not her three children, has somehow become the face of the tragedy.
