Halt immigration stone dead!

by ROGER CROOK – THE definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and expecting a different result.

Attributed to Einstein, but it can be traced back to the 19th Century — it is one of the great truths.

The first action should be to halt migration. That one decision would slow the damaging demand-supply nexus responsible for the dreadful cost of houses and rentals.

In more recent times, that “great truth” is owned by the Australian Labor Party and its leaders; Prime Minister Anthony Albanese; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Richard Marles and Treasurer, Tricky Jim Chalmers.

It sums up Labor’s attitude to migration and their complete lack of concern regarding the direction Australia is heading under their governance. Governance is an oxymoron under Labor.

IGNORE

The federal government knows, but has chosen to ignore, that the majority of the population believe that the 3m plus migrants who have arrived on our shores over the past four years, have had a negative effect on the economy of this country.

The people are beginning to realise that Labor has chosen to ignore this bleak fact, and they want to know why their concerns are being ignored.

House prices have risen and are rising inexorably; they are out of control and out of reach for far too many, especially the young.

The standard of living is falling, especially for those on a fixed income; productivity is declining, the number of people in the civil service is increasing.

Both the federal and all State governments continue to spend more than they receive, and the combined national debt is out of control – and it will get worse.

The Reserve Bank has dug its toes in and refuses to reduce interest rates, and unemployment is now on the rise.

That is a toxic brew for any economy; the conclusion that any reasonable manager would come to is that it’s time to change and stop the fiscal bleeding.

Obviously the first action should be to halt migration. That one decision would slow the damaging demand-supply nexus responsible for the dreadful and unaffordable costs of houses and rentals.

But that answer is clearly not acceptable to this Labor government; it is continuing to do what it has done in the past – and doubling up.

Mr Albanese is breaking all time migration records – he is literally “going for broke” and taking us all with them.

In May of this year the Prime Minister and his colleagues allowed another 35,320 people into this country.

HIGHEST

That is the highest number ever of arrivals in the month of May. I can’t say that the people of Australia welcomed them as they have done in the past, because that would not be true.

In all probability the people don’t know; they are too busy, (head down and arse up) trying to stay afloat in financial morass, which threatens to engulf them.

The people elected Labor, now Albanese will show the people what it actually means to vote for a socialist government.

They have started with an open-door policy which they don’t talk about.

What are they up to? Does Albo and his gang believe that the young migrant will eventually all vote Labor?

If migration levels continue for the rest of this calendar year, then 598,000 new migrants will arrive on our shores and that will be a new record.

There can only be two reasons why the government is allowing more migrants than ever into Australia:

  • They believe that the result will be different this time to what happened over the past three years which means (confirms) they are stupid, or
  • They are being pig headed and have totally disregarded the manifold pain that a high level of migration is inflicting and will continue to be inflicted on the people of Australia by their migration policy.

Labor by any metric have failed.

I have written about this before, but it must be repeated; this country is on a downhill slope, and it is all because Labor has been: “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

As Sir Robert Menzies said, “A nation can be great only if its leaders are great”.

All is not lost for the Coalition Parties. All they have to do is open their eyes and ears, forget the past; profoundly change their attitudes to the Australian people, listen to them, especially to the young who are increasingly becoming disenfranchised.

Change has started around the western world: It could well be that Gen Z –  and the millennials – hold the key to the future of the Coalition and Australia.

Sussan Ley needs to take a leaf out of the Reform Party playbook and remind everyone in this country that, above all we are Australian, and she will fight, fight, fight, to preserve our customs, traditions, faith and way of life.

If she does that, then just maybe? PC
