Not only are Fulton County voters receiving fake text messages that are confusing the public, Fulton County is also experiencing issues with it ballot scanners.
Of course.
As TGP’s Cassandra MacDonald reported earlier Tuesday, Fulton County Elections Director Nadine Williams notified the Georgia Secretary of State that two ballot scanners failed during early voting, leaving 1,069 ballots unread on their original machines.
Williams is asking the county election board to approve a modified counting process at tonight’s 6:30 p.m. meeting.
In a November 3 memo, Williams detailed a power loss at one site that left a memory card unusable and a persistent paper-jam error at another.
According to the memo, the first failure occurred on October 21 at the Mechanicsville Library early-voting site, where a scanner lost power after 361 ballots had already been scanned.
