James O’Keefe responded to the felony charges announced by Soros-backed Hennepin County prosecutor Mary Moriarty on Wednesday evening.

Mary Moriarty on Wednesday announced her office charged James O’Keefe and Cam Higby with felonies for exposing Minnesota’s insane ‘voter vouching’ system.

In August James O’Keefe dressed up in a ‘thobe’ and Cam Higby wore a black burka as they entered polling stations across Minneapolis.

“Under Minnesota’s Statutes § 201.061, a registered voter can sign an affidavit affirming that they know another individual resides in the same precinct, allowing that person to register at the polls without presenting standard proof of residence. One registered voter can vouch for up to eight people,” O’Keefe said.

The election worker told James O’Keefe he can vouch for up to eight people – as ID.

“If you’re all in the same precinct and you are already registered, you can vouch for them as ID. Eight people,” a poll worker told James O’Keefe.

“You’re the ID,” the election worker told O’Keefe.

“I am the ID!” O’Keefe said.

Election worker says, “You’re the ID,” referring to the registered voter serving as identification for the people they are vouching for.

Election worker confirms O’Keefe’s question about unregistered voters being vouched for: “I can vouch for them. They are not registered… That’s okay. That’s fine. Yeah!”

Election worker explains that a registered voter in the same precinct can vouch for up to eight people: “If you’re all in the same precinct and you are already registered, you can vouch for them as ID. Eight people.”

James O’Keefe never presented a fake ID and he did not cast a ballot, however, Mary Moriarty charged him and Cam Higby with two felonies each: Unlawful voting and identity theft. They are facing a maximum of five years in prison for each felony.

“This is not political. It is fundamental. It is about whether citizens still have the right to question their government. This is now a landmark First Amendment case, and every American’s right to speak truth to power has been put on the line,” James O’Keefe said.

“Weaponized lawfare does not work against me. It has always backfired on the people who come after me. Most people find criminal charges and lawsuits stressful; the process becomes a form of punishment. But I love this process because it gives me the opportunity to expose injustice at the highest levels. My foundation will be indemnifying members of the Justice League, including
Cam Higby for their lawful reporting,” O’Keefe said.

“I’m calling on all Americans, and especially all journalists, to stand united on a message to the prosecutors in Minnesota: the politics of fear will not prevail in the United States of America,” O’Keefe said.
