Kean’s allies dropping like flies

NSW Treasurer Matt Kean’s Left faction is in shambles as a long list of allies suffer public humiliation, demotion and electoral losses.

His pick for NSW Liberal deputy leader and trade minister, Stuart Ayres was forced last week to fall on his sword.

In a scramble to stem the factional haemorrhaging, Mr Kean last week put himself forward to replace Mr Ayres, who has been caught-up in the John Barilaro New York Trade Post affair.

“Good friend” Eleni Petinos was sacked from her small business portfolio for allegedly bullying office staff.

As well, Mr Kean’s “captain’s pick” for NSW Liberal State President was unexpectedly challenged by John Howard-backed candidate Philip Argy.

SHUNTED

All this on top of four factional colleagues being shunted from parliament in May’s federal election loss, including Jason Falinski, Trent Zimmerman, Dave Sharma and Fiona Martin.

In a scramble to stem the factional haemorrhaging, Mr Kean last week put himself forward to replace Mr Ayres, who has been caught-up in the John Barilaro New York Trade Post affair.

Even this latest move, however, was rocked by controversy when parliamentary colleague and Transport Minister David Elliott, who nominated and then withdrew from the race, accused Mr Kean of spreading “lies” and “complete bullsh#t”.

Mr Ayres quit as deputy leader and stepped down from cabinet over his role in appointing former Deputy Premier John Barilaro to the $500,000 a year trade posting.

Meanwhile, Ms Petinos, who is alleged to have historical romantic ties to Mr Kean, was summarily dismissed by Premier Dominic Perrottet last week.

According to The Australian newspaper, she is accused of serious allegation of bullying.

As the minister responsible for workplace safety, Ms Petinos is alleged to have called staff “retarded” and “stupid” and threatened to “kill” them for making errors at work.

ATTENTION

Mr Perrottet said her services as a minister, which she held for little more than six months, would “cease with immediate effects”.

“Today I spoke with the Minister for Small Business and Fair Trading Eleni Petinos after some further matters concerning her were brought to my attention,” Mr Perrottet said.

“In light of these matters, Ms Petinos’s service as a minister will cease with immediate effect, and I will write to the Governor in this regard tomorrow.”

Ms Petinos’s alleged close relationship with Mr Kean was exposed in 2018 when his then girlfriend reportedly released screen shots of a lewd text message exchange between the Liberal colleagues.

According to news.com.au, the texts, which took place shortly after Christmas 2017, Mr Kean messaged Ms Petinos saying he’s “tempted to drive down to see you”.

“Miss me huh?” she asks. “Yup, really need to f**k you,” he allegedly responds.

Ms Petinos tells him it’s “that time of the month”. He responds: “OK come up later x.”

The next day, Ms Petinos is alleged to have texted Mr Kean and said: “Just got your Christmas card — you’re absolutely gorgeous — love you xx.” PC

  1. Interesting that his allies are dropping like flies as these little critters typically stick to turds!

  2. Maybe it’s worth the pain of Labor to get rid of these mad, destructive infiltrators. The likes of Matt Kean will eventually be booted out, joining the ranks of those who have already bitten the dust at the last federal election, their self interest knows no bounds.

  3. Yes, I blame Howard also – why on earth Turnbull was allowed to stay a member of the Liberal Party when he really wanted to be in the Labor Party is the crux of it all. They knew he was not a conservative, so why give him so much airtime. And why hasn’t he been kicked out after all the damage he has done? The Liberal Party is a weak as water…State and Federal! I thought Dutton was going to be the strong voice we needed, however I have not heard anything remotely like the leader of the opposition speaking with conviction on any conservative policies.

  4. While suturing up a cut on the hand of a 75 year old farmer, whose hand had been caught in the gate while working his cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Hone [fill in name] and how he got to be an MP.
The old farmer said, “Well, ya know, **** is just a Post Tortoise.”
Now not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked,
    What’s a “Post Tortoise?”
The old farmer said, “When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a Tortoise balanced on top, that’s a post Tortoise.”
The old farmer saw the puzzled look on the doctor’s face so he continued to explain. “You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he’s up there, he sure as hell isn’t goin’ anywhere, and you just wonder what prick put him there in the first place.”

  5. These Governments ( Farce) are no good for any of us . If there is to be a new Deputy for State Liberal than is should be Tanya Davies as she was against the Lockdown lies that gal pal Gladys enforced and David Elliot turned the Police into Gestapo . We have short memories it seems ?? The Labour party must be licking their chops , but Minns is no better as he backed sacking Nurses and Teachers for not wanting to be vaccinated . Whatever happened to be ing free and having freedom of choice ??? If I want to get vaccinated so be it if I want to drive a petrol powered car then I should be able to as well. But these Dictators are about legislating morality and at what cost ???? Make no mistake the Great Reset as its comrades in out political elites .

  6. Why is this evil Photios hack not in jail? Why is sabotaging the State’s energy security not treason? How dumb and reckless are the leaders of this country? At a time when we need to strengthen our supply chain which requires cheap, reliable energy, these muppets (sorry, insult to muppets) are destroying our energy grid with expensive, unreliable, renewables attrocities.

  7. For the very first time since I voted in mid 1960s; I will not be voting Liberal in the 2023 State erection! Kean will be the destruction of our once great party along with his mate that lobbyist who has been trying to take over and completely control the party for over 10 years. That is why I left the party in 2011, after 46 years of active membership, non factionally aligned. Put the Party in opposition and then clean it out of the mad ultra lefties.

  8. At the appointment of Kean to Deputy Leader of the Party, I found it difficult to digest the fact that Perrottet stated he “did not want the position contested”. I thought this was a democracy, but obviously wrong. And given the dichotomy between Kean’s ideological position and that of the supposed Liberal Party’s conservative values, it would be hypocrital of me to not resign from the Liberal Party, and I have!

One nation makes more sense than having the Turnbull/Kean (and others) infiltration into the Lib’s. I do fear for the Liberal Party, and the review to turn it around post Federal election is taking far too long.

  9. How the hell do all these lefties get into the Liberal Party in the first place? Its communism, the long march of the left through the institutions – all institutions taken over by the left. How blatant can you get than to have a conservative party riddled with lefties? Its unacceptable!

    1. Blame Howard with his broad church rubbish. Any conservative party which keeps Turdball as a member is not a conservative party.

We have seen the Great March by commies and their green version through the institutions. This march includes the political parties. They have consumed the ALP and are almost finished with the LNP. Look at what happened in WA, SA, soon to happen in victoristan and now NSW.

Its tough. The only conservative politician who has stood up to the green commies is Trump and to lessor extent people like our Pauline, Latham and a few remnants in the LNP: Antic, Canavan, Rennick, Price…

But they’re fighting a losing battle.

And the people are sheep, mesmerised by the media extension of the commies.

  10. How in the hell can you expect to win an election, when six months out you’re squabbling over the who sits in the best deckchairs?
NSW Liberal, it cannot be made any clearer to you!
Kean and his ilk need to be gone before March or the votes most certainly will be. Not from parliament, that privilege belongs to the voters. But they must be gone from cabinet and state executive if the party is to have any hope of saving some seats.
Traditional Liberal value attract traditional Liberal votes. Kean can apply to join the greens, he can get in the sea, I don’t much care, but he and his destructive climate hoax must be gone before there is ever a chance of the Liberal Party deserving any future term in office.
Want my vote? Represent my state and her people, any party that cannot do that has no purpose even existing.

    1. Hard to accept that the NSW Coalition that inherited a huge mess from Labor, and dealt with it sensibly and in a timely manner, has since fallen apart as a political party.

      LINO left, job done.
