Pastor Lorenzo Sewell during the Republican National Midterm Convention in Dallas, Texas.

Detroit pastor Lorenzo Sewell just brought the house down at the Republican National Committee’s first-ever midterm convention in Dallas.

On Wednesday night at the American Airlines Center, during the Republican National Committee’s first-ever midterm convention, the senior pastor of 180 Church unleashed a short, fiery sermon titled “Enough Is Enough.”

The crowd roared as Sewell framed the November midterms as spiritual warfare, not just another election cycle.

“How many know that we are saying today, not today, Satan? You will not steal our country. You will not have our children. You will not have our families. Enough is enough!” Sewell declared.

“I know I got somebody in this room that believes in the King of glory, the one who is strong and mighty, the one who is mighty in battle! He’s got the only name given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Then he delivered the line that brought the house down: “That’s the name of JESUS!”

He told the packed arena to look at their neighbor and repeat it: “Enough is enough. Devil, you won’t have the land where my fathers died.”

He kept going… “Devil, you won’t have the land of the pilgrims’ pride, from every mountainside. We believe that freedom will ring.” And he closed with the line that has become his signature: he is going to “stand up and fight, fight, fight for the soul of a nation.”

The appearance lasted only about two and a half minutes. That was all it took.

This is the same Pastor Lorenzo Sewell who hosted Donald Trump at his Detroit church in 2024, spoke on the final night of the Milwaukee RNC, and delivered a benediction at Trump’s second inauguration.

The Gateway Pundit covered that 2024 convention speech when Sewell told the story of a former gang leader from Detroit’s east side who found Jesus and then watched the 45th president walk into a Democratic stronghold and listen.

We also covered Sewell when he exploded at a Dearborn city council meeting this August, telling officials that America had “lost this city” to Sharia influence and that Christians would not accept it. The man does not do quiet.
