A Somali-born public school official who invaded the State of Maine years ago now wants to impose his culture on the state’s natives.
As The Maine Wire reported on Wednesday, the Portland Public Schools Policy Committee held a meeting on October 14 that focused on the school district’s newly proposed policy on animals in schools.
As currently drafted, the policy states as follows: school administration must sign off on the animals, service animals must be certified, and domestic animals must be restrained.
But Abdullahi Ahmed, the Somali-born Muslim assistant superintendent for student, family, and community partnerships at Portland Public Schools, claimed that the policy toward dogs must change because of Islamic ‘ritual purity.’
He specifically cited dog saliva as an example.
“In Islamic tradition, there is always love for animals and living things and compassion for animals,” Ahmed said. “With that being said, there are some ritual purity that Islamic traditions state and Muslims exercise, so, for example, dog saliva is considered impure.
Ahmed said he did not want the district “to have a dog as a class pet” and that students and staff “should not be required to interact” with the animals at school.
Note that he delivered his remarks while sitting in front of an Iraqi flag.

Abdullahi Ahmed, a senior administrator at Portland Public Schools in Maine, argued that students and staff “should not be required to interact” with animals at school, and that dogs should be kept out of classrooms and common areas. Instead, kids would “opt in” to visiting a dog in a separate room.
Speaking at an Oct. 14 school board policy committee meeting, Ahmed said that under Islamic tradition “the dog’s saliva is considered impure,” and that letting some students pet a dog while others can’t creates conflict. He added that he’d prefer the district “not to have a dog as a class pet.”
The board is drafting a new “Animals in Schools” policy, sparked by a teacher’s plan to foster puppies in her classroom.

Americans had plenty of choice words on the matter, with many telling Ahmed in no uncertain terms to go back where he came from.
I wonder if the love people have for their pets might finally be the issue that motivates them to reject this bullshit, backwards attitude Islam has towards dogs, amongst many other things.

@TheMaineWire He needs to be removed from any job giving him authority over Americans.
“Islamic ritual purity” includes many things more offensive to our sensibility than eliminating dogs.
He will refuse to understand so must be removed.
