ABORIGINAL senate candidate Jacinta Price has condemned a proposed Indigenous Voice referendum, saying Australians shouldn’t be divided along racial lines.
Ms Price, who is seeking to represent the NT in the federal senate, said Aboriginal people already had a “voice”.

- The woke side of our society is always looking for something to condemn.
- ‘Voice’ to set precedent for splintering of society.
- Candidate says she won’t comply and urged others to push back as well.
She said there were currently seven indigenous people in federal parliament and many more running in the upcoming May 21 general election.
“How many more voices in parliament can we possibly have and if the current voices aren’t working, then maybe it’s time to vote in somebody else.
DEMOCRACY
“That’s how a democracy works.”
Ms Price’s comments were made yesterday to Sky News’ presenter Peta Credlin.
“We shouldn’t be dividing ourselves along the lines of race. We are all Australian citizens here?
“As it stands there are seven indigenous voices in parliament. I know there is myself, of course, running this time around. There is Kerrynne Liddle from SA running in the senate for the Liberals. There’s another Greens indigenous woman running in Victoria…”
“We’re a democratic nation and I don’t think Australian people want to be divided along the lines of race.”
Ms Price questioned the precedent that would be set by race-based representation.
“Are we going to then have another group of community members who want their own voice to parliament?
ATTACK
“Where do we stop? I don’t agree with it.”
The former Alice Springs deputy mayor said there was a deliberate “attack on our shared Australian culture”.
Pointing to the NSW Government’s recent attempt to ban the use of “mate”, she said the nation’s identity was under threat.
“That’s how we address each other. It’s part of our identity as Australians,” she said.
“I don’t understand how the word ‘mate’ is now somehow unacceptable.
“The woke side of our society is always looking for something to condemn, something to be offended about and they like to make it about language.”
IDENTITY
Ms Price said she wouldn’t be complying and suggested others push back as well.
“This word is a strong part of our Australian cultural identity and it’s under attack.
“So listen mate, I’ll continue to be using the word and I strongly suggest we continue to do so as Australians.” PC
Agreed Cohenite, it is time to drain the swamp! And go with what I suggested 🙂
Jacinta is a great Australian who knows that aboriginals are being used by the left who want them to remain as permanent victims so the left can claim to be looking after them. The left are truly terrible people who thrive on adversity, division and conflict. They are literally ruining the West by inventing problems like racism, climate change and gender issues so they can stay in power.
If you are here for becoming an Australian and enjoying the freedoms that offers, then you forget about race as we are “One” I am not saying forget your past heritage but to learn to share peacefully with other Australians the better part, as has been done by so many in our past! forget the poor and bad time and learn to share the better times we have ahead 🙂 And still have the parties and peace. Get rid of the LNP, Painful! And the Labor treason, along with the communist Greens and go One nation, United Australia, LD’s and those wanting peace and success in this wonderful land of so much promise 🙂
Australia is divided on racial and religious grounds – disgracefully – right at the top.
Only a certain member of a certain white family of foreign aristocrats can be Australia’s head of state.
Who must never be catholic.
She’s genuine. And despite what the whack-job main-stream media says, she is far from controversial. Ms Price says it how it really is and, I imagine, most ‘normal’ Australians would agree with her.
