WESTERN Australia’s opposition Liberal Party has split with Prime Minister Scott Morrison, announcing net zero carbon emissions a full 20 years earlier than Labor’s economy-wrecking target. Mr Zak Kirkup, who was elected Liberal leader last November, has described his 2030 net zero plan as “bold”. Others describe it as crazy.
NSW Environment Minister Matt Kean this week criticised Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s emissions plan – saying he should act more like former US President John F Kennedy.
