THE decision to appoint deposed PM Malcom Turnbull as NSW’s climate tzar has backfired spectacularly with Premier Gladys Berejiklian being accused of betrayal.
Others have called for NSW Energy & Environment Minister Matt Kean to follow Mr Turnbull out the door.

- Liberals will be thumped in upcoming Upper Hunter by-election as voters look elsewhere.
- Latham asks: "Why are these woke Liberals imitating The Greens?"
- This is a betrayal of true-blue Liberal voters as well as miners throughout the State.
Mr Turnbull was sacked within days of his highly criticised appointment – his third and latest dismissal over his radical position on climate.
He had already been sacked as leader of the Liberal Party in 2009 and again as prime minister in 2018 for similar reasons.
Public relations expert Prue MacSween said Premier Berejiklian’s judgement had been appalling.
BETRAYAL
“Gladys has shown us that her judgement – certainly in her personal life – has not been very good,” Ms MacSween told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
“Her judgement by allowing Matt Kean to install ‘turncoat’ Turnbull in this role – and to allow the Liberal Party to drift so far to the Left – is going to place her in a very skewered position,” she said.
“What she’s doing is betraying every true-blue Liberal voter and she’s betraying the miners in the Hunter and other areas.
“She’s relegating us all to be in the dark if she pursues this ridiculous theme that Matt Kean is driving – this so-called progressive moderate who clearly has influences from Photios and vested interests.”
Ms MacSween said the Liberals would be thumped in the upcoming Upper Hunter by-election as “all conservative voters are looking elsewhere”, including herself.
“One Nation and Shooters & Fishers are going to romp it in as far as I’m concerned,” she said.
Losing the Upper Hunter will throw Ms Berejiklian’s Coalition into minority government.
MALCOLM
One Nation’s NSW Leader Mark Latham said Mr Turnbull’s removal was a win for the people of the Hunter area.
“Fifty-eight per cent of their economic output comes from coal … so to get rid of Malcolm today is a plus, a big plus,” he told Sky News anchor Paul Murray this week.
“Someone who wants to get rid of their jobs is no longer advising the NSW government. It would be better if Matt Kean went as well.”
Mr Latham drew comparisons between Ms Berejiklian and WA’s Left-wing Liberal leader, who voters booted from parliament last month.
“She’s like that fool Zac Kirkup in WA, she surrendered before the nominations even opened, she’s conceded defeat before anyone has even voted.
“And she has a similar policy to him, to erase and close down coal-fired power stations and to go 100 per cent renewables as quickly as possible.
“Kirkup ended up with two Liberal Party seats … and if you follow the advice of Malcolm Turnbull and Matt Kean, you are going to shed the votes of sensible people.
“Why are these woke Liberals imitating The Greens? Why are they conceding defeat in the Upper Hunter? Why doesn’t Gladys get up there and fight for the coal jobs and the working people? And give them the opportunities in life that she’s been able to take for granted.
“Why isn’t she a fighter for them?”
Mr Kean’s decision to remove Mr Turnbull from his eight-day post as chair of the State’s Net Zero Emissions & Clean Economy Board came after his “good friend” moved to halt new coal mining licences in NSW.
“Malcolm Turnbull, love him or loath him, was divisive,” Mr Kean said.PC
Turnbull needs to have the fire hose extracted from his butt as there is too much crap flying out his mouth. Kean needs to run for the Greens although he is probably too far left for even them.
There is no doubt that Berejiklian has shown her true colors and it is obvious she is of the left especially when she attended a gathering at the Turnbull household recently. She like Turnbull fooled a number of people but the game is up and she is following in the footsteps of the former WA LNP Leader in giving up the seat of the Upper Hunter and her and Matt Kean must go before they do any more damage to the LNP.
Wake up Gladys! If you don’t stop aligning yourself with the likes of Matt Kean you will be committing political suicide. I am backing One Nation to win in the Hunter. Like many conservatives I will be looking in that direction at the next election. You give us no other choice.
Gladys, the cuckoo in the nest, the Green Kean MUSt ALSO GO!
Turnbull is a three-time loser; since people found out what he’s really like, he has become 0% renewable.
Some say he would be the smartest bloke in any room, but he doesn’t seem to be allowed to stay in a room for long enough for anyone to be sure if that’s true. Perhaps he should try for a job that is more within his limited set of capabilities, like sweeping gutters or shining shoes.
