US voters flood Australia for real news

US VOTERS have over-run Australian news sources to access political reporting following a US media black-out triggered by the Biden laptop scandal.

With content from the laptop – allegedly owned by the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden – falling into the Trump campaign’s hands, Left-wing US media and big tech companies have combined to censor local US coverage of the story.

America’s fourth highest circulating newspaper, the New York Post, as well as US President Donald Trump’s press secretary Kayleigh McEnany both had social media accounts suspended after attempting to expose the laptop’s contents.

Other social media users were also blocked from re-posting details relating to the computer.

DENIED

The laptop, allegedly owned by Biden’s adult son Hunter, appears to entangle Joe Biden in multi-million dollar “pay for play” schemes involving China, Russia and the Ukraine – allegations Mr Biden has repeatedly denied throughout the campaign.

The US mainstream media black-out has seen American voters searching for information from online Australian and UK news services – and returning for more.

Viewership of Sky News Australia coverage has increased markedly since the US media censorship commenced on October 14.

A comparative analysis of Sky News Australia posts on YouTube suggests that the pay TV channel normally attracts thousands to tens of thousands of viewers per news item.

In the past few weeks, however, this has skyrocketed with posts relating to next week’s US presidential election jumping to hundreds of thousands of viewers and sometimes exceeding the million mark.

Sky’s Outsiders program, for example, is now regularly attracting million+ audiences. Two segments last Sunday attracted 1.3m and 1.1m views while Paul Murray Live recorded more than 550,000 views on a segment posted yesterday. There are many other examples.

A read-through of viewers’ comments suggests that a large percentage of the audience is US based.

QUALITY

Of nearly 14,000 comments on Sunday’s Outsiders post the majority are clearly American citizens.

“Why can’t America have more quality reporting like this? Thank you Australia,” writes Steve Hubbard in response to the Sky News’ post “Buyers remorse in play after ‘can you change your vote’ surges in searched terms”. [see below]

Levi Johnson wrote: “Sky News quality is kicking the crap out of US news quality”.

James Cunningham agreed: “I find myself more and more looking to Australia for unbiased coverage of American news”.

While Raul Castro summed up the tone of Cuban American viewers: “Much love from the USA to all Aussies”.

Even independent US news sources are crediting Australian media as their source of facts.

YouTube-based news service Open Source News, which has a subscriber audience of almost half a million viewers, has acknowledged Australia’s contribution to honest reporting and regularly features clips [see right] from Australian news segments.PC

  1. American readers should be cautioned that Australian mainstream media is as biased towards the left, as the U.S. msm. Commentators like Paul Murray are few and far between.

  2. The CEOs of the 3 big media platforms have undeniably outed themselves as the most blatantly biased entities in the World!

ANY BARRISTER -(or attorney)- could have taken them and their ridiculous lines of lies down, – in one minute flat!

Although so many people LOVE these ‘platforms’, there are just as many who DERIDE or even ABHOR them; they can see the ease with which gross manipulation is enabled, one-sided censorship is enforced.

These young men are MAKING BILLIONS from our propensity to chat, comment and constantly divulge our opinions. Now they want to control, manipulate, censor opinions with which they do not agree! Against any wisdom!

I always said it would all end in tears before bedtime! Now we’re seeing blatant support for only one side of politics in the U.S. – the socialist side! Forget their present names, they’re now cowering under the banner of – IDIOTS INCORPORATED.

Perhaps another platform should be started by two equally strong people, ONE FROM EACH definite side of politics, then everybody could desert the biased platforms in droves and write without the fear of Marxist censorship!

  3. A shame “Sky News” is not free to air news. The day we can either cancel the ABC or totally strip and re-structure it will be a good day for quality journalism and Australian news. The ABC does not work in the best interests of Australia more a lap dog for socialist Greens and Labor politicians.
