A California college student is being hailed as a hero after he launched himself feet-first through an In-N-Out drive-thru window and confronted a woman allegedly threatening employees with a sharpened wooden stick.
Twenty-year-old Luca Opperman was waiting for his burger at an In-N-Out in Lake Elsinore early Wednesday morning when he suddenly heard loud banging coming from inside the restaurant, the KTLA reported.
Opperman looked through the window and reportedly saw a 53-year-old woman smashing a large, branch-like stick against the counter.
The stick was broken at one end, leaving a jagged point that Opperman believed could seriously injure someone.
Employees reportedly fled into a back room as the woman continued her rampage.
But Opperman did not lock his doors, pull out his phone, and watch from a safe distance.
He jumped out of his vehicle and dove feet-first through the drive-thru window!

A witness told the LA Times that the incredible maneuver was something out of “Spider-Man” or a “Jackie Chan move.”
Opperman, a college student and former parkour instructor who also participates in freestyle trampolining, landed inside the kitchen and grabbed the first potential defensive tool he could find, a metal spatula.
“I’m holding the spatula, wielding my spatula and yelling at her, ‘Get out of here! Get out of here!’” Opperman recalled.
The woman allegedly continued swinging the sharpened stick in his direction.
That was when Opperman made his move.
He dropped his shoulder, charged forward, and ripped the stick away from her.
Just like that, the attack was over.
According to a witness, the woman became enraged because her food was not being prepared quickly enough.
Imagine terrorizing fast-food employees with a sharpened piece of wood because a hamburger took too long, and needing to be stopped by a 20-year-old armed with a kitchen spatula.
Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies later located the woman outside the restaurant and detained her without incident.
The suspect was identified as Antonieta Sanchez, 53, of Redlands. She was booked into the Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of felony vandalism and brandishing a weapon, according to the LA Times. No injuries were reported.
In-N-Out Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick praised Opperman’s selflessness and quick thinking, saying the company had personally expressed its gratitude to him.
