Iran’s B1 bridge in Karaj destroyed in airstrike
President Trump on Wednesday warned that he will target one bridge or power plant for every ship Iran attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, prompting threats to issue an equal response from Iran.
President Trump previously threatened to escalate the war further by targeting Iran’s energy, oil, and transportation infrastructure starting this week.
The President has further refused to rule out a ground invasion of Iran and suggested that he would take over Iran’s cash cow oil export hub of Kharg Island.
The US launched an 11th consecutive night of strikes against Iran last night, US Central Command announced, sharing video from the attacks.

This came after Iran attacked a tanker near the coast of Oman earlier Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen have also imposed a naval blockade on the Bab el-Mandeb strait, the gateway between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden near Saudi Arabia’s western coastline, per Reuters. By stopping Saudi oil exports to Asia, the blockade could reduce global oil supply by 7%.
Trump announced this morning on Truth Social that he will order the targeting of Iranian energy and transportation infrastructure, “including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran” if the attacks on commercial ships continue.
From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT, including those located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Bagher Ghalibaf responded on X, threatening, “In a region where we do not sell oil, no one will sell oil. If our security is not ensured, no infrastructure will be safe, and the security of the strait is in the absence of American forces.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also responded, writing, “Our defense doctrine is clear: eye for an eye.”
He continued, “Any aggression against Iran, including our infrastructure, will compel a powerful and decisive response,” while threatening any country that supports America’s targeting of Iranian infrastructure.
Our defense doctrine is clear: eye for an eye.
Any aggression against Iran, including our infrastructure, will compel a powerful and decisive response.
Those who contribute to such aggression, whatever the kind of support, will also be considered as legitimate targets.

Earlier on Wednesday, it was reported that Iran threatened to respond by “striking infrastructure and bridges across the region, including energy facilities in which the United States has interests.” An Iranian military official also said, according to Iranian state media, that ships in the Strait of Hormuz “would be safe if coordinated with Iran and conducted within the framework of Iran’s regulations. Otherwise, Iran will not abandon its firm resolve to control the strait, viewing such control as essential to its long-term security.”
President Trump also threatened on Tuesday to attack Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain, where Iran has been rebuilding their nuclear program since last fall, according to Israeli intelligence.
“We’ll be hitting that area very, probably pretty soon. And there’s not a thing they can do about it, and there’s not a thing they can do about it,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
