King Charles is facing a veritable PR nightmare with the shocking allegations from Earl Charles Spencer’s upcoming book.
After alleging that Charles said that Diana ‘would soon be forgotten’ after her tragic car crash death in 1997, Earl Spencer is doubling down with his ‘revelations’ (allegations).
Yesterday (17), it arose that King Charles (then Prince of Wales) sounded ‘like a lottery winner’ after the death of his late first wife, Diana.
This was revealed in new extracts of his book.

“Diana’s brother Charles Spencer said the then-Prince Charles was ‘giddily elated’ in the immediate aftermath of Diana’s death in 1997, possibly because he felt it meant he was freer to marry again, according to passages in the Daily Mail.
Charles on Wednesday took the unusual step of responding to criticism after the first extracts of Spencer’s book were published in the Daily Mail, saying via a spokesperson that grief could impact reason, judgment and memory.”
Earl Spencer – the brother of Diana Princess of Wales – has made more claims about King Charles in the latest extracts from his new memoir.
The Earl alleged that Charles sounded “giddily elated” at the news of Diana’s death and sounded like a “lottery winner”.

The king has not commented on the latest excerpts.
The book also states that Diana visited a site of many suicides on Britain’s south coast.
“’It is a sad fact that, in her later years, Diana drove herself more than once to Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in England, while contemplating ending it all’, Spencer wrote.”

The Earl wrote about the moment when he learned of his sister’s death, on Aug 31, 1997.
The Telegraph reported:
“’Unlike my other callers, who were stunned, barely able to articulate their condolences and offers of help, he sounded giddily elated – like a lottery winner, I remember thinking at the time’, he writes.
‘He let me know he had informed William and Harry of their mother’s death, first thing that morning, in their bedrooms at Balmoral. It all sounded strangely matter-of-fact, given the enormity of the disaster’.
‘Looking back now, I suspect the prince’s first reaction must have been to think more of how this event might free him to marry the woman he loved, rather than appreciating the loss of one he did not. It can be hard to feel too much sympathy for an ex-spouse, or those who care for them profoundly, after bitter divorce’.”
