Alan Dershowitz joined Rose Unplugged to talk about his journey as a Democrat for nearly 70 years and why he quit the party.
“The Democrats are basically throwing me out of their party,” Dershowitz said. “They’ve changed. They become a radical party rather than an anti-American party and an anti-Israel party, and I can’t stay in the Democratic Party. I initially decided to leave the Democratic Party and become independent.”
“My wife did that but she’s still an Independent, but I can’t stay an Independent cause I wanna see the Democrats lose the House and the Senate — unlikely to happen, but I’m gonna do my best to see that’s the Democrats to control the legislature because if they do, they get to name the chairman of all the committees and America will be in terrible terrible shape if that happens,” he said.
Dershowitz said he has actually been banned all over Martha’s Vineyard by the tolerant Democrats.
“I’ve been banned all over Martha’s Vineyard, where I went. I don’t remember what 60 years ago to defend Bobbi Kennedy‘s uncle Ted Kennedy, who just drove off the bridge in Chappaquiddick,” he said.
Alan Dershowitz also said his wife has been blackballed by certain clubs and groups in New York as soon as they find out ‘who her husband is.’
