We all now know the cause of death for Tim Curry, one of cinema’s greatest character actors.
People Magazine obtained documents from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health that revealed Curry died of coronary artery disease.
Moreover, the public health department’s document listed a history of stroke and kidney cancer as other significant conditions that contributed to the English actor’s passing.
People Magazine also reported that the document stated that no operations were performed for either Curry’s coronary artery disease, kidney cancer, or history of stroke.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Curry, who first became famous for playing Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” died at his Los Angeles home on August 25. He was 80 years old.
Per TMZ, police responded to a call to his house at roughly 11:23 PM. They do not suspect any foul play.
Tragedy previously struck Curry when he suffered a major stroke in 2012 while receiving a massage at his home.
Ironically, he felt completely fine at the time, but his therapist noticed some troubling signs and called 911 against his wishes.
This move saved Curry’s life, but he was confined to a wheelchair for the remainder of his life.
As a result of the stroke, Curry pulled back from his acting career then and instead focused on voiceover projects.
Before his star turn in “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” Curry began his acting career in London theater. He appeared in the original West End cast of the musical “Hair” in 1968.
Curry also captured audiences with his performance as the clown Pennywise in the 1990 adaptation of Stephen King’s “It,” as well as his role as Mr. Hector in “Home Alone 2.”
The latter featured a famous cameo by President Trump.
Curry’s other prominent film roles include “Annie,” “FernGully,” “The Hunt for Red October,” “Muppet Treasure Island,” “Clue,” and “Addams Family Reunion.”
He also received a Daytime Emmy Award for his performance in 1991’s “Peter Pan and the Pirates,” and an Artistic Achievement Award in 2015 from the Actors’ Fund of America.
Curry never married nor had children, and kept his personal life completely private.
