One-term Albo a ‘virtue signalling fraud’

by SEAN BURKE – LIBERAL Leader Peter Dutton’s comprehensive rejection of Labor’s Voice proposal will spell the end for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Editor of The Spectator Australia magazine Rowan Dean today suggested Labor could lose government over its divisive race-based agenda.

Anthony Albanese is asking Australians to sign a blank cheque for something which will, quite definitely, be the biggest constitutional change they’ve ever been asked to make.

Former Prime Minister

“This is going to be the making of Peter Dutton and I think it’s going to take him to The Lodge,” Mr Dean told Sky News’ Bolt Report today.

“I think we are going to see Anthony Albanese exposed as a virtue signalling, identity politics fraud before the end of the year,” he said.

RUBBISH

“I said over a year ago that I wanted to see [Senator] Jacinta Price and Peter Dutton standing side by side talking about the real problems in Aboriginal communities – and not all this rubbish about the Voice.”

Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott agreed that Mr Dutton had highlighted Mr Albanese’s ideological bent.

“It’s important that the Liberal Party oppose this Voice,” Mr Abbott said in an interview with the Institute of Public Affairs last week.

“Not because we don’t feel generous towards Indigenous Australians, of course we do,” he said.

“And not because we don’t want to see Indigenous people recognised in the constitution … but this Voice is the wrong way of doing it.

“This Voice is wrong in principle and it would be disastrous in practice and the Prime Minister is really trying to stampede us to vote ‘yes’ to the Voice based on the vibe.

CHEQUE

“He’s asking us to sign a constitutional blank cheque for something which will be, quite definitely, the biggest constitutional change Australians have ever been asked to make.

“He’s asking us to make it without a convention, without any deep discussion, without any of the fine details of exactly how this Voice would operate.”

Mr Abbott said the Prime Minister was playing a purely “good will” card to rush Australians into making an “absolutely massive change”.

SEPERATISM

“Plainly the Prime Minister’s view is that if we understood what we were doing, we wouldn’t do it,” Mr Abbott said.

“It’s the underlying separatism which is at the heart of so much of the difficulty for Aboriginals.

“If we don’t have the same expectations of Aboriginal people – in terms of schooling, employment and the way they live – obviously we are going to have different and lesser outcomes.

“I just worry that by trying to frogmarch us into doing this – without a convention, without a debate – the Prime Minister is taking us to a place where we really shouldn’t go.” PC

  1. Agree – not long-term PM material.

A prominent Jurist apparently read the detail of Uluru From The Heart – which comprises part of The Voice, and it apparently bogs us down in detailed compensation going back to 1788.
So we will be mired in “us against them” legal cases for the next 100 years. And if the Waitangi Treaty Agreement is any indication, after about 20 years those cases will turn from recommendations to law.

Only one reason Albo is raising it again – he wants a smokescreen to bring down his other, many hidden agenda, and trying to bankrupt Australia’s pharmacists is one of them.

They are the keystone of small business, and he is trying to smash all small business as they don’t provide many trade union members. Seemple!
His latest plan is, having flown the kite, to try and bury the controversy about that tomorrow (Thursday) and move on. And complete the job in September.

    Please maintain the rage.

Pharmacy in Australia is the most efficient globally, and by a long way.

The acid burns much deeper considering that we pharmacists were thanked by him not so long ago for “saving the nation” during the Covid pandemic. We Pharmacists kept open and working in the “front line” when so many other industries closed. We should have got the hint that he would turn on pharmacists when he and his crony asked for their injection for $15.00 from one of our pharmacists instead of the RRP of $19.95.

    Words fail me.

Our thanks? Abrogating the signed, Guild-Government 7th Community Pharmacy Agreement with not so much as a phone call to The Guild that he was doing it, just an announcement late in the night, just prior to the Anzac Day period.
And doubtlessly illegally too, but that’s another question.

We members heard it first at precisely the time that everybody else did.
And look when he announced it – under the screen of Anzac Day. Like a thief in the night.
And we now find out that he had been in secret talks with medical bodies since November.

Not long term PM material, that’s for sure!

    Owzat?

  2. For once I disagree with Tony… I think Albo will win one and perhaps even 2 more elections, but I think when he loses (as he will) the Left will be out of power for a decade or more. Climate change lying pigeons will come home to roost when the blackouts begin and the huge costs (and corruptions) come out, people getting cold (and hot), losing their jobs as industry starts to shut down from blackouts. If Dutton can hold the Libs together, root out the lefties, then start to rebuild. School teachers brainwashing of the youth needs to stop. The Greens and Teals will be wiped out too.

  3. Not because we don’t feel generous towards Indigenous Australians, of course we do,” he said.
I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH THIS COMMENT. MY NOTION OF SOCIAL JUSTICE IS THAT EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO KEEP AS MUCH OF THE INCOME THEY EARN AS POSSIBLE. WORKING AUSTRALIANS ARE NOT HERE TO SUPPORT BLUDGERS. ALL AUSTRALIANS HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITY TO WORK, EARN AND GET AHEAD.
“And not because we don’t want to see Indigenous people recognised in the constitution
I DO NOT WANT THEM RECOGNIZED IN THE AUSTRALIAN CONSTITUTION IN ANY WAY. THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE PART OF OUR NATION (EG OWN FLAGS, TENT EMBASSY, TAXPAYER-FUNDED INSTITUTIONS, ETC.) SO WHY SHOULD THEY GET ANY RECOGNITION OR ANY HAND OUTS. LET THEM ASSIMILATE, WORK AND GET AHEAD JUST LIKE THE REST OF US HAVE TO DO.

  4. Another point that young Australians need to be told is Future Generations and the impacts of Voice if activist politics results in changes to constitutional laws after Voice insertion … Treaty and Sovereignty for the under 4 per cent of population who identify as having Aboriginal ancestry, even mixed ancestry, being first class citizens and all others effectively permanent settlement visa holders paying special taxes to compensate first class citizens for events, real or imagined, in colonial days after the British Empire colonised this country.

As the population and multi-nation immigrants numbers increase the 4 per cent (probably less than 3 per cent discounting fakes) will of course become an even smaller number per capita. But stuck with Voice locked into the Constitution.

  5. It is interesting that at least two players in the divisive race based Voice campaign are followers of the late Russian Revolutionary Marxist Leon Trotsky – Anthony Albanese and Marcia Langton.
