In these postmodern political times of hybrid ideologies and even weirder alliances – see the red-green alliance of neo-marxists and Islamists – it is only to be expected that there will be some very peculiar unity tickets.
- Voting for the Liberal means voting for the wets who control them.
- The nation has suffered massively because the establishment picked the wrong side.
- We’re over voting for establishment types who have failed us before and will do so again.
The emergent Parties of true dissidence, patriotism, traditionalism and – God help us – populism are giving the people what they actually want. We cannot have that.
It’s way too democratic and the establishment cannot control that.
COUNTER-ATTACK
So, who is involved in the counter-attacks? It mainly consists of the undergraduate Left and the establishment Right.
It is a case of my enemy’s enemy is my enemy too. A variation on the old adage.
It throws up some odd bedfellows engaging in some very peculiar practices.
This week Pauline Hanson addressed the National Press Club, the bastion of “respectable” Australian “journalism”. (Scare quotes definitely needed.)
She was (naturally) sabotaged, but totally unfazed by the inevitable Dave Sharaz, aka Mr Brittany Higgins, with a GetUp-style techno-stunt.
The Get-Up pranker class. No adults in that room.
It was the same week that the former CEO of the corporate-friendly Centre for Independent Studies, Tom Switzer, outed Tony Abbott for his involvement in a 1990s cross-Party attempt to drive Hanson out of politics.
Hanson ended up in jail. She was falsely accused by the establishment’s anti-One Nation effort v1.0. Apparently, back in the day, former Deputy PM Tim Fischer called Hanson a “witch”.
She was vilified in precisely the same way that politician and scholar Enoch Powell was in Britain.
Hanson has been Australia’s Enoch Powell. Prescient.
Now Britain has rivers of blood and is on the brink of civil war – and Australia faces the same fork in the road.
Powell and Hanson were right. The establishment stood by and did nothing, other than to help the direction of travel and to attack the messengers. Including those who put Hanson in prison.
WRONG
Whatever the morals of the then (failed) Hanson slayers, it is now patently clear they were wrong. And disastrously so.
The nation has suffered massively because the establishment picked the wrong side.
Have things changed, at all? Even though the things Hanson thinks and says are now supported by around a third of the population (at least), the establishment goons are still attacking her. Matt Canavan, anyone?
Of course, the Liberals are up in arms about Pauline Hanson after her simply magnificent week, in which she (sort of) reversed a budget and probably destroyed a prime minister.
This is establishment gaslighting with side-bar support from the undergraduate Left.
Whoever thought that Tony Abbott and GetUp would be on an intergenerational unity ticket?
Speaking of gaslighting, the establishment Right is endlessly rolling out the canard about “splitting the Right-wing vote”.
Vote Hanson, get Jacinda Allan – or Albo. Err, no. You do not own our vote.
We are over voting for establishment types who have failed us before and will do so again.
In Australia, voting Liberal means voting for the wets who control them.
Some of the anti-dissident-Parties establishment-Right will be in London next week for the annual, performative conservative circle jerk, aka the ARC conference.
VETTED
Two hundred (no doubt) safe, eloquent speakers over three days, at a great cost to the carefully vetted participants, will talk to one another in a plush hotel about saving the West.
While outside, Britain is literally burning. What was that about Nero fiddling?
My guess is that very few of the great and the good will mention Restore Britain or One Nation, other than in head-tilting references to something they don’t really understand and certainly don’t want to join.
They seem to be far more interested in “understanding” the “protest vote” than in joining the revolution that is, palpably, afoot.
The British Right has been reinvented. Restore is on a roll. Down-under, One Nation is on a roll, post the Fire the Liar campaign, the polls and the Press Club speech.
The undergraduate Left, which hates Hanson and hates normal people, will do their undergraduate thing.

GetUp activist organisation is modelled on a activist organisation in the United States of America and was established in Australia via the Australian Workers Union (AWU) when Bill Shorten was a senior executive before he entered Parliament as an elected MP. He was at one time a GetUp Board Director. The organisation is well funded by unions, and coincidentally they also make donations to the Greens Party and GetUp has been involved in election campaigning for the Teals masquerading as Independent candidates.
Mr Sharaz and Ms Higgins background relating to the Morrison Liberal National Coalition Government and Cabinet members is well known.
I really do not get that “Uniparty” attempted put down combining Labor and Coalition parties because there are many differences and what appears to be from media comments is too often misleading, example Morrison “signed up to net zero” when he declined from signing the Glasgow COP 2021 agreement and instead stated Australia would have “an aspirational goal” based on new technology developments (nuclear emissions free power stations could be an example) and without damaging the economy. And not transitioning away from fossil fuels, etc.
As for Paris Agreement there is no enforcement possible, and as Leaders Taylor and Canavan have indicated Australia can and if the Coalition is returned to government will be ignored and natural resources prospecting and development of mining and extraction fully supported and the list goes on.
Many if not most of the originally Pauline Hanson One Nation Party, later changed to One Nation Party, are based on misinformation and for example the electoral fraud allegations were investigated by the Queensland Electoral Commission and they handed the matter to Queensland Police for further investigation that led to two people being charged …
The Queensland Court of Appeal made a significant ruling regarding Pauline Hanson and David Ettridge’s electoral fraud convictions.
Key Details of the Ruling

Senator Hanson first made the accusation in 1998, claiming Mr Fischer and then Howard government foreign minister Alexander Downer had said she should “be put in front of the firing squad and shot or I should be burnt at the stake”. Judy Brewer, Tim Fischer’s widow, told The Australian that she has “found no record in the media or anywhere else of these comments being made”. Ms Brewer added: “As he [Fischer] is not here to defend himself, I feel I must either ask for some evidence or an apology from Senator Hanson to ensure the record is true and he is not simply being defamed for political purposes.” Media Watch Dog understands that no evidence has been provided – in response to Judy Brewer’s request.

Media Watch Dog is not suggesting, or implying, that Senator Hanson is lying. Not at all. But, as mentioned earlier, some people have clear “recollections” of events that never happened.
The evidence for Hanson’s claim that Fischer said she was a witch who should be burnt at the stake? Well, no one has produced any report whatsoever that Fischer ever said this. Moreover, Peter Rees, Fischer’s biographer, says that he can find no support for the claim in Fischer’s personal papers or during his research on Fischer.
Questioned by The Conversation’s Michelle Grattan about this during her appearance at the National Press Club on Wednesday 17 June, Senator Hanson stood by her claim. She stated that she had read Tim Fischer’s (alleged) claim “in the paper”. She did not say what paper.
Such leading Nationals figures as John Anderson and Michael McCormack have said that the statement attributed to Fischer is out of character. Gerard Henderson, who was at high school with Fischer and who wrote a short biography of him in A Howard Government?: Inside the Coalition (HarperCollins, 1995), shares this view. Henderson recalls that Fischer did not engage in verbal abuse.
Senator Hanson’s claim could be an example of mistaken identity – that is, someone else may have made the “witch” claim other than Fischer. Or the story could have resulted from a dream or some such. Or maybe she just has a poor memory.
But this episode provides an example of why just because someone makes an accusation it does not mean that it is correct.
