Trump’s Senior Counselor to the President for Trade and Manufacturing Peter Navarro will hold a White House press briefing this afternoon on American manufacturing.
Navarro will speak about “the Trump Administration’s efforts to rebuild domestic industry, bring jobs back to the United States and strengthen the American manufacturing sector,” according to a White House press release.
“President Trump is restoring American dominance, supporting American workers, and ushering in the Golden Age of economic prosperity,” the release continues.
Trump announced last week plans for Minnesota-based Mesabi Metallics to build a $15 billion steel plant, the largest in US history, in Iowa.
Also last week, Trump announced that South Korea will invest over $50 billion in a new liquefied natural gas pipeline in Alaska.
And this week, Trump announced plans to build a new navy shipyard which will be the largest built in the United States since World War II.
Autonomous military technology company Anduril Technologies plans to invest billions of dollars in the massive project that is expected to create thousands of jobs.
