At a press conference led by radio host, John Fredericks in Washington, DC, the GOP nominee for Attorney General was in attendance and stood against a Tax-Grab scheme planned by the far-left City Council. His name is Manuel Rivera.

After the press conference I spoke to Rivera in an exclusive interview to gauge at what his priorities would be if he gets to serve as DC’s Attorney General.

“Transparency, accountability, and law and order. Those are the three main issues I’m fighting for,” Rivera told me.

I followed up by asking him how he plans to accomplish these three goals. If elected, Rivera vows to spend his first 100 days examining the issues and meeting with all the staff of the Attorney General’s office.

“I will meet with the the staff of the Office of the Attorney General. I will find out the things that have not been done, and we’re gonna start from there,” Rivera told me.

“We’re gonna eliminate a lot of the waste. We’re gonna eliminate all these contracts that are being granted and awarded to people that are connected with the Office of the Attorney General.”

Rivera then went after his opponent, Brian Schwalb, who is the incumbent Attorney General in Washington DC. Rivera insists that there is a “conflict of interest” with Schwalb.

“And the attorney general himself, there’s great problems with conflict of interest, and people need to know that. I’ve been talking about this conflict of interest everywhere that I go, but we need to control how that office makes business.”

River also urges DC residents to “keep a watch on the government” because they “spend too much money on things that we don’t need.”

Similar to John Fredericks, I asked Rivera what he is going to do to stop the incoming socialist Mayor of Washington, DC, Janeese Lewis George from turning DC into a communist landscape. Rivera plans vote for Independent Mayoral Candidate, Rhonda Hamilton.

“She endorsed my campaign. I also have other endorsements from Democrats and Log Cabin Republicans. So I’m getting support from various organizations. So that’s what I think we should do,” Rivera told me.

“On November 3rd, people have to go and vote and show that we have a presence and show that we have an opposition. And you vote for all the candidates that are Republicans, and then you select those independent candidates that you know are gonna align with your policies, and one of them will be Rhonda Hamilton.”
