GREENS voters continue to be completely out of step with all other Australians as they call on the government to prioritise China over Australia’s US alliance.
Only 40 per cent of Greens voters value the US alliance over communist Party ties – way down on Coalition voters (74 per cent) and Labor voters (49 per cent).
According to this month’s Newspoll published in The Australian newspaper, 12 per cent of Greens voters remained uncommitted to either relationship, while 14 per cent of Labor voters and six per cent of Coalition voters felt the same way.
DUMMY SPIT
The poll was conducted earlier this month on the heels of the Chinese government’s attempted Wuhan virus cover-up and its subsequent dummy spit after being called-out by Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
China’s trade sanctions, tariff hikes and its undermining of Australia’s tourism and education sectors failed to swing Greens voters away from the communist regime.
According to the poll, 87 per cent of Greens voters have a negative view of the United States and President Donald Trump’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. While 53 per cent of hard-Left voters admired the work of the World Health Organisation.
Only 24 per cent of Coalition and 41 per cent of Labor voters spoke positively about WHO’s virus response.
Across all voter groups, support for the Coalition (42 per cent) was ahead of both Labor (34 per cent) and the Greens (12 per cent) on primary voting intentions, according to Newspoll.
CYBER ATTACKS
This translated to a 52 per cent two-party preferred lead for the Coalition versus Labor’s 48 per cent.
The survey was conducted prior to China’s alleged cyber attacks on Australian government agencies and private networks including political organisations, education institutions, health organisations, essential service providers and critical infrastructure suppliers.
The poll is based on an online survey of 1512 voters carried out from June 3 to 6, 2020. The maximum margin of error is quoted at +/-2.5 percentage points.PC
