The evil agenda of ‘moderate’ Liberals

IT WAS said, not that many moons ago, that the Liberal Party had, after decades of sectarian rivalry and anti-Catholicism, changed its tune and had become the Party of Catholics.

A real Catholic – not the fake one who was Tony Abbott’s predecessor and successor – ascended to the Party leadership in 2009.

This could mean a religious war with a secularist government that believes it can get away with anything…

These days the Liberal Party and its woke country cousins don’t seem to tolerate, let alone affirm, anyone that is Christian, let alone Catholic. And don’t even mention real conservatives.

The secularist green-leftist faction that now dominates the Liberals is seen in action most visibly in NSW. It seeks actively to eliminate social conservatives from the Party and no longer tolerates anything at all that smacks of Christian values.

EUTHANASIA

Just look at who the loudest cheerleaders were for same sex marriage. And the willing participants from the so-called “Right” of politics in the building tsunami of infanticide-on-demand and euthanasia legislation that is rolling across the States.

And the attacks on the sacred seal of the Catholic confessional cheered on by several prominent Liberals motivated by moral panic over child sex abuse by a tiny number of rogue priests.

And the drumming out of politics of Christianity-inclined Liberal members who have simply had enough of the bullying and the spite, or who dare to challenge the march of the wets.

Amanda Stoker is still in situ in the Senate, but only just, and may not survive the next Senate election in Queensland where she will face off against a certain Ms Hanson for the final seat in that State.

Ms Stoker was considered too churchy by the Liberal members in Queensland to be awarded a safe Senate seat. George Christensen and Nicolle Flint have left the building. Cowed. Defeated. Craig Kelly sits on the cross-benches. Former Abbott Minister Kevin Andrews has been dumped at pre-selection in Victoria.

And now, this week, we have the attack on the Churches’ sacred involvement in Christian burial by the second most Left-wing government in Australia, still clinging to office in the Premier State.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald: “The decision to create a ‘OneCrown’ entity to manage the cemeteries that operate on Crown land will result in the termination of the Catholic Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust, which operates three cemeteries at Rookwood, Liverpool and Kemps Creek.”

ATROCITY

Safely now past the “miracle” of the Upper Hunter by-election, the unspellable Premier and her unlamented offsider from West Kempsey, Melinda Pavey (a National), appear to have lied to the Churches about their latest atrocity.

This is from no less a source than the Catholic Archbishop of Sydney, Anthony Fisher, as reported by Yoni Bashan, one of the media’s few lonely souls willing to call out the NSW Premier for her many indiscretions.

Bashan writes: “Sydney’s Catholic Archbishop has launched an extraordinary attack on the Berejiklian government over its decision to overhaul the State’s cemeteries management, accusing the Premier of deceiving the Church, marginalising its role in burials and timing its announcement to be ‘dumped’ on Catholic leaders just days after a crucial by-election.”

In remarks directed at the Premier and her government, Archbishop Anthony Fisher said Ms Berejiklian had repeatedly assured him during consultations that faith groups would be included in the solution to Sydney’s shortage of cemetery space.

In other words, she lied.

It is a habit of Gladys’s, of course. Just ask the Independent Commission Against Corruption about her testimony in relation to her now-thrown-under-the-bus, disgraced boyfriend.

SECULARIST

Archbishop Fisher stated: “We will not give up the care of our dead without a fight. This is a matter of religious liberty and a matter of respect for the dead.”

This could mean war, a war over religious freedom with a secularist government that firmly believes it can get away with anything.

The Matt Kean/Michael Photios-led faction that runs NSW is so used to so-called Right faction heavies simply rolling over that it no longer even cares to hide or downplay its agendas and strategies. Where is, for example, the NSW Treasurer in all this?

Perhaps from this day forward the strangely lauded NSW Premier should be known as “Gladys the Grave Robber”.

Meanwhile, in South Australia, that chronically under-performing buddy of Malcolm Turnbull, Simon “Birmo” Birmingham, has orchestrated the pre-selection for Ms Flint’s old seat of Boothby of one Rachel Swift, a “management consultant and medical researcher”.

A Rhodes Scholar, no less. Not to mention a leftist. And yes, this is the same Birmo who went to war with the Catholic Education sector in Victoria a little ways back, all in the name of worshipping at the altar of Gonski.

Mr Birmingham, a former Canberra housemate of the unlamented Christopher Pyne – the French submarine man himself – is also a greenie of impeccable credentials in awe of the sustainability religion.

ABORTION

As he said in his maiden speech: “You do not need to be Einstein to work out that continued growth using current resources will ultimately be unsustainable.”

The South Australian Liberals, of course, are responsible for the most recent version of Australia’s slouch towards hyper-liberal abortion laws. Indeed, the SA Attorney General Vickie Chapman led the charge.

No doubt, they will soon bend to the relentless and evil propaganda of Andrew Denton over killing the old and infirm, all in the name of “dignity”.

The right-of-centre conservatives are facing an extinction level event in the Festival State.

The Adelaide-based InDaily noted last year: “Right faction [is] in retreat after ‘a complete moderate takeover of the SA Liberal Party’.”

According to a well-informed insider, the Boothby pre-selection process was a stitch-up.

Simon Birmingham allegedly spent hours on the phone ringing delegates and telling them that he was ringing on behalf of the Premier, the AG and Treasurer Rob Lucas.

Part of his line was they should reject Mrs Lea Blyth (a conservative Liberal and well-credentialed) because she is religious (protestant, prolife etc).

THUGGISH

This smacks of the treatment of Ms Stoker, and dare one say it, of Tony Abbott.

Outgoing federal Liberal MP Nicolle Flint was unimpressed at the Boothby preselection outcome and, more so, the thuggish behaviour of those who orchestrated it.

She has savaged her Party’s moderate faction amid the internal rancour.

“I was very disappointed with the article in the Sunday Mail today, where an unnamed senior male Liberal ‘source’ attacked me,” Ms Flint said.

“Unfortunately, I was not surprised,” she said.

“This is just the latest example of the treatment I have endured from the Left or the wets in the Liberal Party, while holding a marginal seat that helped deliver us federal government.

“There is nothing ‘moderate’ about this sort of behaviour [and] it needs to stop.”

Yes, indeed. The use of the term “moderate” to describe extreme leftists who routinely use bullying factional methods has always been a puzzle. It is a nomenclature coup.

The battle for Boothby is merely the latest conservative domino to fall.E

The NSW Liberal Party, aka the Photios Industrial Complex, remains a cesspit of secularist green-leftism.

It is more at one, ideologically, with Newtown and Taylor Square than with the Hills district or any other socially conservative suburban enclave one might name.

Notwithstanding its fleeting overtures to coal industry workers of the Upper Hunter, at least for a few weeks. (As Nats leader John Barilaro admitted, the rabid renewables point man Matt Kean had been “in witness protection” for the duration of the by-election).

One of PM Morrison’s ministers, Amanda Ruston, has opined that “The Liberal Party is a Party of equal opportunity”.

RISIBLE

Maybe for women. Maybe for the right type of women. But certainly not for a conservative woman. They definitely need not apply.

Ms Ruston’s claim is risible. The once very broad church of John Howard bears no resemblance whatsoever to today’s “Modern Liberals”.

This is the Party of Zimmerman, Wilson, Birmingham, Falinski, Sharma and co, whose agenda is far more closely aligned with Antonio Gramsci and Klaus Schwab than with either Edmund Burke or Adam Smith.PC

  1. John Howard’s method was to “govern for all the people”.
You can only do this if, as everybody says, we keep taxes low and enable comfortable incomes by encouraging manufacturers and inventors to take the punt.
One major coup that we could perform, for example, is to reverse Paul Keating’s hijacking of the age pension into consolidated revenue.
That should be restored as a separate tithe and invested by wise people. It has been estimated that if the age pension had remained as it was originally designed, it would be worth about double what it is now.
This employee-donated superannuation is a complete joke. So much is eaten up by admin costs that it is only worth about half of what it should be also.
When it was instigated, my daughter’s super “pot” from her part time job in the 90s disappeared three years after she started University full time in “commissions”. It was all hidden costs and a complete outrage. The Sheriff of Nottingham would have been proud.
Putting money into peoples’ pockets is the greatest incentive for them to work and the best possible system to deliver happy marriages and healthy children of all races, colours and creeds, and from all chosen jobs or careers.
Socialist infiltration of economics has destroyed the original, Australia-invented philosophy of one person able to support a household and have “eight hours work, eight hours play and eight hours sleep”.
    Let’s get it back!
Why have we forgotten the Howard method that was so successful, so quickly?

  2. The answer, as always is that neither extremes are right about everything but attempt to impose themselves on the rest of us as if they alone hold the complete truth.
If you are educated in political science then you see the whole governance thing as mere political gambits.
If you are educated in the arts and in philosophy then you see the whole reality within those lenses.
If you are educated in sciences then of course that provides the answer for everything.

The truth as it always has been lies in the middle of all of that. We need the great advocates of hard core values like Tony. We need the philosophers to align us with changing social values.

And we need the scientists to guide us through the impending perils of global warming.

And we need wise people to view all of these groups’ ideals and meld them into what is looselyy called “reality”.

Because the reality is that voters are also divided into those various camps but at the same time want leaders to understand all of those and strike the balance for us.

So go ahead – have the leaders of these groups within our party meet regularly, leave the mobile phones in a basket and genuinely ask for and share and learn each others’ views so that we can finish up with educated and wise leaders.

    Please!

  3. Just a few words of moderation regarding your great article Paul:

The Prime Minister is unreservedly, a joyfully practising Christian, the Treasurer is definitely an upfront member of the Jewish Faith. I’m also positive that many in the Liberal (& other) ranks would still ascribe to some firmly-held religious beliefs.

I do agree that garbage-truck loads of ludicrous, green ideology has shockingly swamped many in our Federal and State Governments and the dangerous waves of this insanity are a consistent and constant threat to the previously unquestioned, flourishing state of our economy and to our security. Even Morrison seems – (I do say seems) – to have been influenced by the insanity of the thunderous shouting for achieving ‘net zero emissions’ and for going ‘carbon neutral’ – all an absolutely unnecessary travesty for gross, self-inflicted, human harm!

The conspirators named in your last paragraph, plus the truly ghastly Matt Kean, all need a bucket of cold reality thrown over them! Eventually, Mother Nature will consistently prove their climate ordure completely wrong and hopefully, for all our sakes (and for the good of our export economy), M.P.s with enquiring, intelligent and probing minds will still hold sway by making the wise decision to COMPLETELY IGNORE ALL THE INSANE CLIMATE ALARMISM, THE VESTED-INTEREST & POLITICAL MACHINATIONS of the UNITED NATION’S CLIMATE SET-UPS & THE HORRIFIC PLOTTING OF ONE VERY MAD MAN CALLED KARL SCHWAB.

It’s also a terrible truth that our Government is spending like a group of profligate teens, throwing bounties to nearly everybody, with seemingly no thought for conservative, fiscal sanity! What looms now – and will loom even more in the future – is a massive grey storm of forced austerity, threatening us all, a huge impediment to measured Conservative Government.

    1. “The Prime Minister is unreservedly, a joyfully practising Christian […]”

Not so; he goes to Horizon “church”, which is pentecostal – so it’s correct to say that he’s a practising pseudo-Christian. If you have any doubts, just check out their web site; it positively screams out the truth.

“[…] the Treasurer is definitely an upfront member of the Jewish Faith.”

Not “faith”, Jennifer: observant Jews are compelled to follow the multitudinous strictures of their law, and so it would be more accurate to describe it as “Jewish Works”. The Apostle Paul, himself a Jew, states in his epistle to the Galatians that “[…] the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith”, thus making clear the important distinction between faith and works. (Although, of course, the blessing of Abraham is on all his offspring, who thus remain in a favoured position in the sight of God).

The germane and self-evident fact in all of this is that if Morrison were a *real* Christian, he would be morally strong, rather than being an insipid, weak-kneed hand-wringer who remains mutely acquiescent whilst our once-great country is trashed by godless socialists. Perhaps you could benefit from brushing up on your theology 😉

  4. When the DLP split from the ALP, Labor was neutered for decades. If all we conservatives left our own party and started again, we would suffer a similar fate. Never forget that it’s our party, into which the lunatic left has infiltrated, and that ideologically, they had no right to join us. We don’t try to join the Communist Party or Greens, as we are not communists or Greens, and if we are collectively any good at all, we will kick them out of our party.

The idea of being a broad church is to accommodate differing viewpoints within a free enterprise philosophy of smaller government and lower taxes, and to incentivise the creation of prosperity to increase the standard of living, enabling the community to be able to afford to look after those who fall through the cracks for whatever reason.

We are not in government to afford criminal largesse to socialists with regard to the awarding of government contracts, or to put up power prices to impoverish pensioners and kill manufacturing, to lower our living standards. Let us have done with these low lifes’ and fraudsters, who have already trashed our country quite enough.

  5. Felt sick reading about the Marxist trash infecting the once center right Libs…the Kean/Photios cancer needs urgent chemo therapy and a high dose of radiation.

  6. All very sad. But Soddam & Gomorrah fell – and so will this Leftist movement. It doesn’t fit with most people’s sense of decency – which in the end will prevail.
    Cheers Melanie

  7. Ok, we get it…the left runs most of the governing bodies, companies and education facilities and has done since world war 2, so the logic would be the liberals should also be run by the left.

    Look a little closer and we are in the midst of a global reset and the dominos are about to fall;
    Bill Gates caught with Epstein
    Tony Fauchi developer of COVID
    WHO covered COVID for China
US election Audits move to Georgia

And Trump will start his rally’s again in July 2021.

So don’t get to close to the left, they will all be exposed and their evil games will over.

  8. Too true, unless conservatives step up the party is finished. Dominic Perrotet and his buddies have been too close to the “hard left” for too long and where has it led the party? More to the left and divided conservatives.

    17
  9. The Liberal Party is a mess. That it’s holding government is due only to Labor under Shorten, Rudd and Gillard being a bigger mess. Libs can hardly celebrate wins by one or two seats.

If they’d return to the policies of Howard and Abbott, they might see landslide wins again.
