by FRED PAWLE – FRANCE is already there, Britain isn’t far behind and Australia is blindly following – while politicians pretend the solution to the Muslim problem is more bollards.
One day during my time as a TV presenter in 2023, I took the opportunity of a slow news cycle to ignore whatever the mainstream media was beating up and instead hit the streets of Sydney.
- This is the position Labor’s immigration insanity is forcing Australians to take.
- Indians and Muslims are marching triumphantly through our cities.
- Neither politicians nor the media have the courage to discuss it.
I interviewed random strangers about an issue that I considered increasingly important but was constantly overlooked: the proliferation of bollards across Australian cities.
I stood next to actual bollards at Bondi Beach and Martin Place in the CBD and asked passers-by if they’d given these concrete obstacles a second thought. None had.
PROVOKE
Then I went to the Sydney Cricket Ground to provoke responses from the fans streaming in for a twilight Sydney Swans game.
While the bollards in the city had been made to blend inconspicuously into the built environment, the ones outside the SCG were just ugly concrete blocks placed in a line across the adjacent park without the pretense of serving any aesthetic purpose at all.
They were dumped close enough to each other to prevent even a Toyota Yaris from driving through and gaining murderous access to the thousands of people milling outside the main gate.
But even this unmissable visual intrusion had failed to grab the attention of the fans who were, at that time, more focused on whether the Swans would get up in a few hours’ time.
Again, worryingly, nobody cared.
One of the responses, from an elderly bloke who only reluctantly agreed to my on-camera interview, summed up Australia’s suicidal naivety better than all the others.
Asked if he thought there was any risk of a jihadi attack at the SCG, he said, “Well, they wouldn’t attack us at the footy, would they?”
His question was potentially answered last week when a car drove into a crowd of Newcastle footy fans waiting to wave off their team as they drove past on their way to the NRL Grand Final in Sydney.
Witnesses said the car in question accelerated through a roundabout, lost control on the wet road and ploughed into fans on the side of the road.
The driver, Indika Bambrick Samarasinghe, 18, has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and more.
It is impossible to know at the moment what actually happened. The facts will come out during the trial, if there is one. For all we know, there is a legal defense for what happened.
There are also two other, indefensible possibilities: that it was deliberate, which would make it the kind of act I tried and failed to warn people about three years ago, or the driver was a hoon with little care for the safety of fellow Australians.
Both of these possibilities, if true, would be a direct result of the fragmentation that is the reality of multi-culturalism.
Lining the road out of town to wave off the Newcastle Knights as they leave for a grand final is a tradition – albeit a rare one – that began when the team bus left for the grand final in 1997.
Rugby league is a religion in these towns. Previous send-off parades have been joyous, communal events that encapsulate the Australian love of sport.
You don’t need to be a Knights supporter to appreciate it.
Even a Roosters’ fan, the team the Knights played in the NRL Grand Final, would have been inclined to slow down to enjoy the spectacle – and exchange a bit of provocative banter as he drove past.
Samarasinghe didn’t do that. Instead, he sped up. Again, there might be a legal defense for what happened. The trial will reveal all.
But either way, bollards are now the new normal wherever crowds gather in Australia.
As The Daily Telegraph screamed on its homepage headline yesterday: “No bollards in place before crash but pollies reject responsibility.”
Don’t be fooled by the faux outrage. The Daily Telegraph, like all mainstream media, is as keen to pretend it’s speaking truth to power as politicians are to pretend they’re the power worth speaking to.
Both are playing an increasingly unconvincing charade while the real power bides its time in ethnic ghettos in the western suburbs of Sydney, far away both geographically and culturally from News Corp’s city headquarters and Parliament House.
TEETERING
If you get all your news from the mainstream media, you will be unaware that both France and Britain are teetering on the edge of civil war.
If the MSM reports the co-ordinated riots across France at all (much of it doesn’t), it is attributing it to uppity teenagers complaining about insufficient school funding.
“France school protests escalate into ‘urban violence’ as PM calls crisis cabinet meeting,” says The Guardian.
“Students angry over the state of the country’s education system have blockaded hundreds of schools,” The New York Times reports with mild concern.
In fact, the “students” are mostly ethnic men who are destroying more than just schools right across France.
In one of the most shocking videos, an ethnic-looking young man attempts to set fire to a lone female’s face.
Encircling lone teachers and bashing them has become “routine”.
This violence is happening across France, which is not an accident. Nor is it standard.
“I have spent decades covering France’s riots – I have never seen carnage like this,” said independent journalist, Australian Emma-Kate Symons before joining in the Leftist obfuscation about “Gen Z setting fire to classrooms”.
Meanwhile, across the Channel, Indians and Muslims are marching triumphantly through the parts of London they have colonised while the government continues to facilitate the arrival of more military-age illegal male migrants.
Anybody who tries to stop them is dealt with harshly by the courts, yet migrants who rape and commit violent racist attacks on native British are given a slap on the wrist and asked politely to be nice.
Academic David Betz, of the Department of War Studies at King’s College, London, wrote early last year that the fragmentation and polarisation of British society, combined with the loss of trust in the ruling class, were making civil war increasingly likely.
VIOLENCE
Veteran British patriotic provocateur and former stand-up comedian Pat Condell yesterday posted an alternative: “The violence in France will happen in Britain because nobody has the balls to acknowledge the truth that we are already at war and do what’s needed.
“Shoot the rioters dead. Ignore the judges, tear up all ‘human rights’ legislation and treaties, and start mass deportations at gunpoint back to their native shitholes, whether they were born here or not.
“If any country refuses to take them, put them in concentration camps on bread and water until they choose to leave. Cancel all foreign aid and all visas from those countries forever, and confiscate all their assets.
“This is the moderate position.”
This is the direction in which the Labor Party is taking Australia.
But neither politicians nor the media have the courage to discuss it.
If not for X, we would be mostly unaware of how volatile the world is right now, and would instead be discussing the glorious benefits of living in a world where bollards are all we need to keep us safe from vague, unlikely dangers.PC
